Anyone else lose their job today??

Was one of the casualties today, my other option was move out of state. I can't be the only one on SW, no mention elsewhere that I noticed.

Time to ride!!! :beer;

Sorry to hear it Ryan. I visited 12 clients today and everyone of them had cut some amount of staff. None of them could see an end to it in the near future. All land developing companies at some level.

Did you at least get a good severance so you can go ride this year??!!:beer;:D This will get you time to help your wife find a second job...:eek:

Sorry to hear.. we spent dinner tonight conversing about the latest round of layoffs at her work. Pretty much lost 1/2 their staff this past year. Three more today. It's tough, but keep yer' head up.

YDog speaks wisely...again :D A good man will be there to help the wife... :P

Thanks guys! Not too torn up about it, relieved! Been at WAMU since 2001 and on the transition team till summer(lucky), so really the only thing I can complain about (besides losing my job): I didn't make it till Q3 of next year for uninterupted riding and now I'm not sure if I can spare $400 to clutch/gear the new sled...that I bought 1 week before the co. colapsed.

Tis the season! Now I'm really looking foward to riding!

the world is controled by the media, they said the R word today and everything tanks!!!! funny stocks last week had there biggest one week gain in 75 years!!! go figure!!!

Sorry to hear about your situation. I hope everything works out OK for ya. :(

Maybe we could drum up some donations for your clutching needs so you can at least enjoy your new sled????

Who's in???

heh, yeah right :D Good idea though!

I'm not much of a sob story, you'd feel better giving the $$ to someone who needs it more than I do.

Bummer dude:mad::(

Hope you have good luck in your job search while you are still working---Hope the new job will be better than the ole job!!

Let me know when the snow hits---I will help by buying gas for a ride for ya--I will even get ya up the hill;) Anything helps--you can use that fuel money towards your clutch work,

Just be careful as he'll also expect you to dig that beast he rides out every time he gets stuck... and thats a lot!!

Things are going to get better! I truly believe in the power of staying positive. Sounds like you have a great attitude.

Keep the faith.

I thought the free dig outs were part of the deal!?!? I'll even bring my own tow strap, heard i might need it. :D

At least I got the sled before I got my notice, I can't say my wife has the same feelings on the subject right now, heh, I can't think of a better time to get one.

Thanks again all!

Are ya sure??? According to Graveler, you're gonna need some $$ for a heli ride.....LOL

Let me know what the magic set-up turns out to be.....I'll probably have to mess with my buddy's new 08.

Don't worry, you can get that sled dialed in for less than $400. Don't fall for the hype.....

Our small town has a developer that employed 59 people. Filed bankrupcy yesterday the rumor has it. I work with developers for home theaters, lighting control, network cable, fiber, etc. Not looking to good after the first of the year.

My girlfriends company announced the day after the election that it is shutting down her office. 29 people gone there.

Mom and Dads business (36 years) is not doing well. They are still working at it everyday and they are 82!

I basically run with no overhead or employes. At least when I go to the poor house I will not owe anybody anything. Against my principles to screw someone out of money. :wine: :beer; :confused:
