I was bored today and it seemed to me like the Killpecker dunes were closer to me than Sand Mountain was ..
I've never ridden the big dunes before, just dirt on my little quad ...
But, suffice to say, wow, dunes are way more fun to ride than just dirt
I kinda liked that Killpecker place, there's just a little bit of dirt to ride, lots of sand, jumps big and small, etc ...
I have however come to the conclusion: Weighing 250 pounds, probably 270 with gear, is ENTIRLEY too much person for a 450-sized quad. ESPECIALLY at 7200 feet.
My quad is jetted for "3000-6000" feet according to the dynojet kit I am running, so that could have been part of it, but ... I dunno, I wish I would have bought the Raptor 700
But either way, anybody ever head up there in the summer time to ride? Fun place...
