Any place worth riding in Washington??

We were snomo access ski touring at Washington Pass this weekend. Snowed hard above the Pass, with a foot+ up top, so Harts should be great. I heard the approach road is brutal though.

How's the road to Washington Pass from the east side? Might need to do some ski touring if you saved me any lines.:face-icon-small-win

The road was great. In fact, the DOT plowed a nice single lane through all the avy cones last week when they were assessing conditions. Unfortunately, they liked what they found and started plowing it today. Harts has good skiing too though.

Harts pass access

Thinking about riding harts pass. Can you get a 2 place enclosed trailer up the snow and turned around? Never been there so I am not sure how the roads are and if there is room to turn a trailer around.

Thanks,
Brent

NO TRAILERS ALLOWED past the base of the hill.... The snow has melted about half way up.

Harts pass access

No trailers are allowed up the Harts pass road? Is the road that bad? just curious.

How much dirt would a guy have to ride to get to the snow?

Rode there on Tuesday. You can park your trailer right at the bottom at the barricade. You're not going to be driving up the road any farther past that because the snow is too deep still. That being said, once you start climbing the hill that whole aspect is south facing and almost all the snow has melted off. So you are riding 2-3 miles probably of dirt with patches of snow. Right about deadhorse, you hit the snow again and the famous Harts Pass whoops. Ended up leaving a sled up there overnight while we got spare parts because a buddy sheared off a couple bolts that hold the skid in place on a 13 Polaris Pro.

Not a real easy access to the area but the snow was pretty good once you got to the top. You just have to earn it.

Looks like no new since last Monday, they lost about seven inches since. 2-3 miles of dirt riding to get in. $120-150 in gas round trip, probably best to get a motel, hate to do that long of a day trip $100. They could get snow tonight, Tuesday and Wednesday, then the snow level goes way up. So Ya, if you could do a midweek ride it would probably be alright, after that. :noidea::noidea:
