Any one in SLC? Need XP help...

Hey all,

this will be my 4th year sledding. Got the riding part now pretty good, but I bought an XP and am way out of my league as far as set-up goes.

Would anybody local be willing to help me out with some set-up? Im guessing I'll have to go out and get'r broken in first, but after that I don't really know where to start.

I've been reading alot of the boards so I 'know' some of the problems these sleds face, but I'm not sure I'm good enough a rider to be able to tell what exactly whats going on with clutching, gearing, belts, and so on.

I know its alot to ask but it would be awesome if someone who knows what they're doing could maybe lend a hand! Learning from someone who knows first hand is the best way!

I'll buy the beer or pizza or whatever! Let me know!

Ski Doo help

Sledskis,

We have a group of us that ride skidoos and we set up our XP's last year.....I don't claim to know it all but we did have a pretty good setup on them. We are a little north of SLC in Layton but glad to help in any way. My new 09' XP will be in next week and we will be working on them...you are more than happy to join in. It's fun to learn how they work and how little tweaks effect the performance of the sled.

What a great invitation.........you da' man!!!

You are right....not so much the vents as the clutching. Take a look on Dootalk.com....Dynamoe Joe has a clutch kit that rocks. He is testing on the 09's as we speak and should have something for us shortly. shoot me an email and I'll let you know when we are going to start working on our new sleds. n:)

First thing would be to get it out and get some miles on it before you start to tinker on it. Easy stuff is a can, airbox mod, make sure all the updates are done, pull the sway barand you are good to go. I'd wait on clutching until its broke in and guys have enough time on the 09's to see how the new 09' clutching is working. I'm in draper and could help ya. Where did you buy the sled from? Oh ya and make sure it has the new 377 belt on it (377 is the last 3 numbers on the belt part number). The old crapy belt is 166, you dont want it.
