- really notice the track and sled having more traction than my 2015 pro. The extra ground/snow clearance is no gimmick. The thing feels like it barely sinks in to the snow.
- more engine braking...gotta watch the first few jumps.
- Very comfortable ergos
- very smooth and electric feeling power off the bottom
- quiet with stock exhaust
- cant really comment on overall power given break in mode. but between the power, traction, and track...it moves some serious snow. Noticeably more tho.
- can't comment on the sidehilling and such as much...didn't get a chance to push it in that regard.
Rode my 2015 pro all day Monday in possibly the deepest snow in the west and still loved every minute of it. Amazing stock sled by any measurement, and if you can't have fun on one...maybe mountain sledding is not your thing. The axys is exactly what you'd think/hope it would be....a tighter, lighter, more powerful , more comfortable pro....with larger + better tracks and more floatation in the deep. What's not to like?
The performance upgrade from a pro seems akin to pro from a dragon. The pro turned zeros in to heros with regard to confidence building...I wouldn't say that aspect changed quite as much. If your riding struggles on a pro...this will help, but not fix it.
These things are basically like dirtbikes in that regard now. If you are an average rider who can't keep with your buddies...it's not the shocks, or exhaust holding you back...it's you!
