ANY MORE FIRST RIDES YET

First Ride

(155 2.6") First, I thought it was great on the trails, after reading everyone complain, with a little lean i thought it stuck to the trail real nice. I was riding 3 feet of fresh with a bottomless bed of willows and never thought twice about this thing, it just floats in that stuff. I was also concerned with trail riding and overheating, not a problem. The snow pack was fairly low but that thing puts up a roost out the back I could not believe, never got above 130 running on fairly hard pack with no scratchers. I'm not sure what it will look like after break-in but I'm a little scared.

Got my first ride in yesterday. Real low snow still around here but started working on those break in hours. I love this sled! It pulls hard even on the break in mode. I'm only pulled 8100 rpms right now but hopefully that changes once I hit the 2.5 hour mark. The old lady is pretty happy with her new 600 pro as well

I agree on the cooling. I saw 131 once and I was riding several roads that were packed from people driving on them but I was mindful to stay on the sides or in the center where there was fresh snow. The roost from my 2.6 was insane. Nobody wants to ride behind me....

I would say I'm burning quite a bit of oil as evidenced by this pic. From time to time it seemed a bit blubbery on the bottom end if it idled too long. I'll change out the plugs for piece of mind at 2.5 hours.

Almost looks like it's a diesel in this picture lol

Ok I seen it was a ggb on video. That thing seems loud. Nice video.

It is loud but this video was also taken with a cell phone not a go-pro in a housing like most. I find the Go-Pros, because they are in the waterproof casing, muffle a lot of the sound so this give a better idea of what it actually sounds like.

I wish more people would do this so you could get a true comparison...

Been out twice on my 800 3" 155. F@&$ing love it! Way more power and the track hooked up even in 2' of snow with ice under, it is insane. Threw 60 gram weights in it, riding at 10kish feet, and it's even better. Then I hit a stump.

Heated the arm with a torch and bent it back a bit with a 8' prybar and it didn't crack. I want a zbros arm kit but but I'm poor boy now so we'll see.

i got to get my new axys 155 2.6 out last weekend put about 90 miles on it booth trails and backcountry and did some climbing, overall sled ran great it handled better then the pro chassie but i wouldnt say it was a super huge diffrence, also it is very snappy on the bottom end but i was kind of dissapointed with the power, really just not to impressed. but that will be changing soon as the turbo kit has been ordered.

You only get one heat and bend. The second time I heated mine it developed a pretty good crack. I got it straight again and know I could probably reinforce it to work just fine but I finally ponied up and bought a new one. Thanks Carls Cycle for having one in stock. I called no less than six dealers in my area and nobody had an arm in stock. In fact, Fed Ex just rang the door bell so I am off to install that new arm so I can ride this weekend... ride number 5 for the season baby!

Went out last Saturday. Was coming back down off the mountain (didn't spend much time there because I kept feeling hard stuff below the snow) and I hit the 2.5 hour mark. Let me tell ya, I think I gained 10 hp. Not even kidding. This thing RIPS! So excited. It even made making tracks back and forth in the meadow on 6 inches of snow fun! I was tacking at 8050-8100 before and easily hit 8300 now.

I did foul one set of plugs earlier in the day at about 1.8 hours, changed plugs and good to go.

Coming off a 11' Pro Boost-it, I bought a stock 163 x 3 this year.
I installed a GGB can, and put 3 days of riding in this past weekend in Revelstoke to break this thing in. At home this sled barely idled and would not go into reverse. (figured extra oil from the dealer) When I unloaded at the hill it was another story. Ran and idled perfect. Hit the trail and sure didn't seem to be in break in mode, I broke it in fairly hard, but it ran like a top, no fouled plugs and added oil each day into the fuel tank. After 2.5 hrs I really didn't tell any difference in performance. I'm sure missing my Fox Evols though, these WE clickers aren't my favourite and need to fiddle abit more with adjustments.

are the axys as predictable in technical riding as the old pro was? or do you have to correct it more?

The axys has lighter transition effort for sure.
More intuitive and more power helps.
If anything its more predictable.

Dragon < pro < axys.
Similar gains in maneuverability/ ease of operation.
