Any jeepers out there?

I like the 7's and scramblers because you can put a cage in it and still get in and out. on my 5's I either cut the rear fender to ge the seat back or rubbed my junk on the stering wheel. the 7 is huge in comparison. I also screwed up and went auto. life is good when you can run a technical run w/a "super big gulp" in your hand. I agree that skill is better then lockers, infact I have seen lockers get guys in trouble because they did not know the particulars of them. air or ox is the only way to go.

my 7 is going under the knife next year. I have a 4cyl turbo diesel to go in it. looking for close to 300hp and better then 20mpg....:D

i know this isnt swap meet but--

i have a complete howell fuel injection system for a carbed I-6 if anyone wants to upgrade--:beer; :D

I've got a CJ3-B, CJ2-A, and CJ-7. as of right now my 3B goes the best but the 7 is way more comfy but still under the knife. Your wrangler has alot of potential but most of the drivetrain will have to go, depending on what you are guna use it for.........

Skill outweighs lockers and V8's.
very true but lockers and skill..... I'll never go back to open diffs, thought I had the best rig back in high school, then I did all the work to my 3B (Front ARB, Rear Spool, 4 link front and rear, buick V6, 6 speed trans just to name a few mods) it was night and day from my old CJ7 with the V8 and 4 inch lift<------ what I would call near stock now....... But the CJ7 is comin up quick, already got a 14bolt in the rear, have a D60 lined up here soon if the guy still has it. Newer 304V8 and lookin for a TH400 to put in her...... Always tinkering.....

Its kinda like snowmobiles. With all the big engines, big tracks, on and on, you can go about anywhere....and many places you shouldn't go. Keep one stock and go for the challenge.

Thats what my 2A is guna be used for, little four popper tiny axles what were they dana 25's or something like that???

Yeah, 25's.

Only thing I did to mine was pull the detent out of the transfer case so I could have 2WD low range. Oh, Warn hubs too.

When I registered it and insured it, I asked the lady if I could get a discount for anti-lock brakes. She said 'they had anti0lock brakes in 1949?' She apparently has never driven one with stock brakes. ;) You couldn't get a one of them to lock up!

The Rubi Unlimited will be left bone stock come hell or high water.
I was talkin bout the 87, Thats a YJ wrangler right???? as for the rubi, I wouldn't touch that either LOL!!!!! well I would but that costs way too much money!!!!!

I am in the process of restoring my 47 CJ-2A. I am restoring it so it will look like it did when it was brand new down to the sunset orange wheels and skinny 6.00-16 non-directional tires. The most off-road it will see is gravel roads when I get it done. The old girl served its time on the ranch for years, she deserves a little TLC.

Yep, YJ. The main goal with it is to make it trail worthy. Mild lift, axle upgrade, engine upgrade, and full roll-cage/body armor package.

When I was a kid the old man was into 4-wheeling. We had several Jeeps. He gave me and my brother a M38A1 with a 327 Chev in it when we were about 11 and 13. He had an old high hood that he rolled, so he went to town on it. He made it a tilt front end and tilt rear end, dropped in an all aluminum 454. That thing was wicked scary.:D:beer;

My CJ7 sits behind the shop again with a busted clutch linkage
Never got around to installing hydralics on it. The clutch pivot adapter bracket is a POS on my small block
