any iq's keeping up to pro's ?

It's a tough go , specially in deep pow , was out with some pros and xm's I was a lot closer to the xm's .
But those pros just work in the deep powder .

I'm close with the fix,PA head and correct skid setup vs. a stock pro. They do pop out of the snow better then a D8.
09 D8 163 Vs. 12 pro 163

Correct skid setup, any tips ? That's where I think I'm losing out . I seem to trench just like the xm's do . Will a pro skid fit in a iq ? Has anyone tried and how do they work.

The type of riding I do is 2-4' fresh powder days , when nobody is getting around to well.

I am running a pro skid. the rails seem nearly identical. I just swaped inner cross shafts to use my original hard ware.

I have a stock skid, that I dropped the limiter strap all the way down. And put the rear spring adjuster as soft as possiable. This is my powder set-up-if I know I have a long trail ride I turn-up the rear spring cam. I did the front shock drop and rear 5/8 relocate. But found that in powder I was pushing to much snow with the frontend. So I switched back to low limiter strap and soft rear setup. I like a light frontend for carving in powder.

can you post the link for the drop anx relocate

I am doing my best. I got mtn tamer skid ordering barkbuster frontend, running 10psi. My biggest issue is I cut the hole for the tunnel dump to close to chain case and cant do d&r. I think I am going to try and fab up a way for the d&r to wrk. Its a 09 assault. I think my biggest problem has been the wide assault frontend. Its takes a lot of rider input to get on edge.

Here a couple of pics of my powder setup-First is strap and shock
The second pic is the 5/8 relocate that stiffenend the rear but was not as good in the powder-so I moved it forward to OEM
I also layed the shock down with the 5/8 relocate and didn't like how it handled in the deep stuff

there is not a huge difference in the rails but there is some. I dont know how this would affect the function and handling of the suspension but if i were looking to put a pro rear suspension under an IQ i would probably try to get some pro rails to go with it

Set mine that same way front shock drop, and 5/8 relocate , didn't notice much help .
Will try your powder set up , and kill some pro's !
