any HPS can sound bites?

how does the ggb or the spi carbon compare to the hps?? im at a crossroad between hps, ggb, and the spi carbon. don't want too loud, here in colorado they got sound regs, but i want to shave as much weight as i can. i like the sound of the mbrp but its a little heavier than the others.

ggb is a little louder than hps on a pro

I think that there are a lot better ways to lose a few lbs. off the sled than making it louder without any performance gain In fact, it is very likely that you will have a performance loss when you install it. Claims of increased horsepower are just that, unsubstantiated claims. I would want to see multiple dyno runs with multiple sleds conducted by an independent company before I would accept that there is a performance gain. Those tests have not been run to my knowledge. A loss of 3 or 4 lbs. for $400 is not bad if it weren't for the noise and the possible loss of power.

Only things going to give you a bit more sound is the full velocity bmp muffler, if its anything like the xm one its a bit louder but not obnoxious. But it looks like it won't fit with a belt drive as of yet.

Hey guys, I appreciate all of the You Tube videos. I used to run a "Thing" can from Revy on one Ski Doo and MBRP on another. Way loud but loved them. Just put SLP on my 11 800 Pro and not real happy. IMO it sounds just a little louder than stock and has an edge-cackly??. Hard to describe. I heard a guy rolling into the parking lot in Seeley Lake, MT a while ago and he has the same sled as mine with HPS. Now that's what I'm talking about!!! Really nice mellow tone but certainly can be heard in the mountains as the videos demonstrate. Getting close to the end of the season so not making the move to HPS right now but think I will next year. This video is a slow ride off a hill and trail run but you can hear the SLP popping

Way too effin loud imo. They never seem as loud when your the rider, but when your sitting there and they pop the pipe out of the snow its sooooo obnoxious. I occasionally ride with a guy who has one of those, it doesn't seem like he is happy unless he has the pipe side out of the snow screaming at the group, I don't like to ride with him just for that reason.

I tend to agree with winter but I do see two advantages to louder than stock cans. When I don't know exactly where my buddies are, I shut my machine off and listen to find them and when a noisy one comes up behind me on the trail, I know I have company that might pass. It seems more and more people are put off by the louder cans and I don't blame them.
