If you want a good saddle, and I mean the best, get an R.C. Bean. I have one, my dad has 3 or 4. They're the best you'll ever ride. He has a 8 yr. waiting list for them.
If you're gettin on horses that haven't been touched for a while, be prepared. Are you an experienced rider? If not, it would help to get some videos by those such as Bryan Neubert, Tom Dorrance,Ray Hunt, Buck Brannaman. You'll learn a lot from those guys. Sack them out, I use a flag for that and all the round pen work. And I don't want them bucking, even in the round pen. They do want to when fresh, but they need to know when theyr'e with me they're working. I do not let them buck on the ground, they just get worked harder. But I have too many injuries from bucking horses so I start all my horses to keep them from bucking, not to get it out of them. I starting to want more reliable mounts, body can't handle it much more.
