I watch it in my BIG chair wearing a full on slicker with a survival suit on the floor beside me. I also keep a spray bottle of cold salt water in my hand so when the waves hit the rail I too can get a blast in the face. I don't take any phone calls or talk to anyone during the show. I think this season I may get a deckhand to yell at.............I guess that means I'm a fan. lol. EW

Funny. The people who think and tell you it's scripted are all the jealous people working on the "other" boats, not on the show.

None of the "reality" shows have anything to do with reality. Scripted or completely fabricated. I refuse to turn that garbage on. What's the next reality show? Ride along with santa as he delivers toys? Pulling teeth with the tooth fairy? A look back at sidehillers last 100 lovers?

No, but they probably film 100 hours and edit down to 1 hour to make it fit the desired outcome for the episode, along with feeding dialouge and adding drama.

Must be a tough call when the producers have to script the "Man Overboard's", sinking ships, and lost lives. Is there some fresh coats of paint or added dialog between individuals, maybe a few planned pranks....probably. Is this still the most deadly job in the world that makes for great entertainment for those of us living cushy lives.....YEP.

If your only seeing the little things and missing the bigger picture of the danger/risk and the fatigue/effort these guys make then your probably not a happy viewer. I can dam near get seasick with all the jets on in the hottub so I really appreciate what these guys do script and all.
