they are clever. thats exactly why i think they exist. many sightings where the creature has looked the person in the eyes says that it does not have regular brown animial eyes. they are more like human and have a smart look to them. Here is my opinion on possibilty. If bf turns out to be real then think about evolution. Doesnt it kind of seem like a missing link from the ape to man. This creature is even smarter than we are and this is why I believe he has not been caught. Im sure he knowsyour coming before you could see him. There have also been reporting of the creatures amazing agility bieng able to rock hop up steep faces and what not. So he is able to get away fast. Well. thats my $.02. It fascinates me.

I would like to believe but find it hard to. Never see a dead one or Dung or any real good pics. Seem to me with people all over now and the good game Camara's we would have proff by now.

I am very interested in this subject as I had an experience on a backcountry trip with two other couples where an animal of some sort came through our camp and lingered for around 45 minutes checking things out and toppling some things over. We could hear the displacement of air from its chest cavity and it was certainly big. The footsteps were unlike anything we had previously heard (moose, bear, etc.) based on the weight of the footsteps and the large lung capacity, I would estimate the size as waaaay larger than a deer - more like a moose in capacity and weight.
I had a small pistol and was still absolutely terrified - I don't usually get spooked with things like that. Out of the distorted plastic of our tent all I could see was a dark brown shape moving around - now way was I going to get out of the tent to check it out at that point.
Worst part was that the animal collapsed my friend's canvas tent on he and his wife after fiddling around with it for a while. He and his wife are major pansies and set up a backpacking tent inside a canvas tent for "safety." When the animal collapsed the canvas tent on them my buddy's wife screamed and the animal took off. All in all - it scared the crap out of me.
Anyway - I'm interested in others like experiences....
BTW - I'm not saying this was a big foot sighting, but it was an unusual experience for which I couldn't pin down a culprit. The sounds the animal was making were just crazy.

as for the dead bodies and pictures, the reason there isnt more pics is because they say they average sighting is 6-8 seconds. and when you see something like that you either get the he11 out there or turn your camera on and it takes most cameras about 4 to 5 seconds to turn on and usually it then has to auto focus adjust. They also say people are so dumbfounded they dont even remember they have a camera. Now for the bodies. Researchies have found burial grounds in several,places. Here is a local story. There have been a few encounters so the reaserch people cam and investigated it. The followed a smell they picked up one day and led them to the basement of the oil resvoir service building. They found a 8 - 9 foot bedon the dirt made with branches and needles. They smell was the wet dog smell everyone says they smell and they said it was hard to breath it was so bad. So they investegated around the area and found a place where it looked like dirt had been moved alot over years and said it was a bossible burial ground because they say they bury their own so they dont get found.
There's a guy here who's been tracking them for about 20 years, and swears by them. He's found hair, has foorprints molded, and several pictures of them. There was a sighting of one locally here about 25 years ago. They had the picture in the paper. I knew the guy who took the picture, and the ones who have seen this creature, you can't change there mind saying it's a myth. I personally think he's on SW, and goes by Hairymark.

45 minutes and nobody peeked to see what the noise was??? Shined a light out?? Nothing?

I agree with you, there have been alot of sightings around my part, Harrison Lake etc. and if they are out there, I believe they are smarter than humans, and want to avoid us, their peaceful, and just want to live their own lives without interferance, which us humans love to do.
There was a sighting up in the Yukon, last year I believe, and the guy got some hair that came off when it went crashing through the bushes running away, it came back as unknown DNA. I think its definetly possible.

There are many cultures that claim such things exist. For many centuries. Just because we do not find "hard" evidence does not mean they do not exist. Scientists find new species every year.

these things have a force or an aura about them ....that is pure evil ...
and will scare the crap out of the most seasoned hunters and back woods folks
up here he is called the "Bushman" most of our native anscestors up here have stories dating back quite a few years ...like couple of generations
the wife and I had gone up the trail behind us about 5 miles where the sticks get pretty thick...
anyways I got to a point and I just wheeled my sled around .....told the wife not to shut hers off ....turned hers and hitailed out of there ....I don't and hav'nt gone back up there by myself period !!
I got within a mile of that spot last winter and freaked myself out and turned back
just like running into a force field or something ...you can't see it but you just know its there ......
the best way that I can describe these things from a bible perspective is that they are fallen angel types...demons if you will that are forced to hang out here .....
there aint a caliber big enough to knock these down .....and I am pretty sure that there are vegitarian ....because you won't see any other animal tracks for miles and no birds either ....
soooo the next time that you are in the bush .....and all of a sudden it seems that there arn't any animals or birds when a moment ago there was ...best wake up and git !!
