Any 2010 M8 engine problems out there?

Just curious if anyone has had any problems yet?

Somewhat new engine but I haven't heard of any problems yet or from the local dealer.

Only thing I have heard is broken primary springs.

Kicking around the idea of getting a 2010 leftover or 2011.

Very happy with my 09 but the extra power of 2010 is enticing.

Just want to avoid any potential problems like all the poor guys I know who bought 07 Rev 800s.

Got a couple buddies that have had zero problems so far but have few miles logged....Looks like another bullseye from the theif river falls....Knock on wood :D

I cruise a few sites everyday and all I have seen so far was a bad ECU on Crossfire 8.

Mine has had not issues whatsoever but only has about 80 miles on it so far. This weekend will be the first real trip with the sled and hopefully it continues to make me smile.

Glenn-

Quick suggestion. Jump over to a flatland site and see how the Crossfire guys are doing. They probably have more miles on already than we will get in 2-3 years. I have the same thing on my mind as you. Haven't heard anything but good on the new 800 so far.

Good Sleddin.

Runs stronger every ride. Out climbs, out side hills, out right rips. I love the light throttle feel, Why was I on Skidoo for so long??????????

I've got over 500mi on mine. Lot's (and I mean LOTS) of WOT. No problems at all!! It just flat rips. Very nice engine.

2010 800 Clutch problems

I have 500+ miles on my 2010 800 and have had major clutch issues. I run around 10k - 13k on a regular basis and engagement and max rpm were great. Have blown 2 primary springs and sheared the helix off the secondary. All 9 bolts sheared off!!

Looking at other aftermarket springs for the primary...any suggestions?

500+ miles. Broke one clutch spring. Dealer told me the springs is the problem. No have an Orange/White spring. Good to go. No belt trouble (vents from new). Broke handlebars, but that's rider error :d Great sled, great engine. No complaints. Definitely knock on wood though!

I thought I was having motor problems (2010 HRC) when my peak RPM's started falling off (250 miles). Then I noticed my driven clutch was binding due to the moveable sheave bearing was shot. Had some serious play in the bearing... Just something you guys might want to keep an eye on if you start having rpm issues..
