Was going to put an anti stab kit in my king cat tonight and I was wondering if you just used the holes for rail caps to mount it too??:confused::o

Another thing if I use the holes for the rail caps, and leave the caps off, will I have enough clearance for 8 tooth extro? Thanks for the quick replies above it sure helps to have someplace to get answers from. Thanks again.:beer; Merry Christmas

I wouldn't leave the railcap off.................

I used the hole that the railcap bolts to. But, I drilled the inside hole on the rail cap to allow the shaft and spacer to pass through all of the way to the rail. So my rail caps actually have a 3/8 hole on the outside, and I cant remember the size but, an almost 3/4 hole in the inside. I hope I said that right so all could understand what I mean? I have a pic but it is kinda hard to see the two differant size holes. Good Luck -00's

I did the exact same thing on my 08 M8. Make sure you use locktite on the threads---had one come out on my 04 900.

00, thanks for the pic. I think I'll take my kit back off and put the caps on also, looks way better.

I also had to shorten my rails.............

Once I put on drop brackets, the railtips did hit the drivers. I shortend mine quite a bit to get it to clear. I don't reccomend cutting on the railcap. It caused me to stab a track. I'll post a pic that shows how much I cut them down by. Note- The rubber bumper in the pic is in the stock location. This setup has worked great for me now for a couple of years. Good Luck -00's

in the pic above are the limiter straps in the factory pos. or were they mounted where the anti-stab cross shaft is? does it really matter? What did you do for your hi-fax mount. Wasn't it where your caps are now?:confused: I'm also doing the sled junky drop brackets, a 2.5 extreme, and extros at the same time and really would like to put it together just one time:rolleyes: Thanks again for the help guys.

You are going to have to trim your rail tips to clear the extros. I did it to both of mine, its not a big deal, EXCEPT then you dont have much room to mount a anti stab kit. just cut about 1/2 inch of your rails tips at the EXACT angle they are cut at now. DONT CUT INTO THE HOLE THAT THE HYFAX NUT SITS IN!!! Then you have to trim your caps to fit over the hyfax. That didnt make any sense. Cut the Bottom of the cap to make room for the hyfax, you will see when you try to put them on.

I cut the hole off.............

Yup, I cut mine like an inch and a half. If yours is anything like mine it will take more than a half an inch to get them to clear. It took me a few times driving to the hill to figure this out. After you cut the hole off, just drill and tap a new hole. Then you don't need a nut, just a bolt and some loctite. It is important that you drill your new hole dead center though. Otherwise the threads will break out the side. If they do, it isn't that big of deal, just nicer if they don't. Oh, the limiter straps in my pic are moved back a little. If I remember correctly there is a hole already, just need to upsize to 3/8. Good Luck -00's

I got mine from www.hiperf.com I ended up cutting my rails and putting my caps back on like the pics of 2zero's. I looked at mine and that seemed like the best spot to put it. I only had 1/2 inch from where they were stock back and then there was a big hole in the slides. So I think taht I cut 2 3/8 off my rails and mounted the caps on the shaft for the anti-stab kit, that's also where I put my limiter straps. Hope that made sense. Thanks again for the help guys;):beer;
