Either one sounds good, something different would be fun. How much snow do you have up on the hill.

Something needs to change.

Something needs to change at Anthony it is getting smaller every year. It would be great to see it getting bigger so we can keep having it. Lets hear what every one would like to see to get everyone coming again, Maybe just going back to lower entry fees and trophies would be the thing to do.

I would like to see them shorten the course so it starts just above the base of the lift so that you can see the whole race and have a decent staging area. I also think that the course needs tightened up quite a bit when every sled in every class makes it over the top it is not nearly challenging enough. I would also like to see some timing lights that would be awesome and maybe we could get enough people to donate to a pool or donate there winnings back to help pay for them a wireless setup is $1600. I would defiantly be willing to help out some.

I really liked the way the Climb was set up at Loup Loup up in Omak, WA.

Everyone pays a small gate fee to get into the Ski Area which would go directly to the Ski Area this way we could use more of the entry fees to pay directly back to the riders. Every sled entering this event will have a permanently mounted tether switch that will be attached to the driver anytime the sled is running. Full face helmets with eye protection and boots are mandatory safety equipment for drivers. Chest protectors, shin guards, gloves, elbow pads are recommended. Sleds entered in this event will have no traction added to the track. All sleds will have hoods, ski brakes and snow flaps. 1 qualifying run per class top 5 times run a second time with a cash pay out 1st-3rd. At the end of the day all the 1st place finishers run for the King of the hill title.

Stock Classes $30 Changes can be made to the handlebars, skis, track, gears, jets, clutching, under hood venting. Must use OEM clutches.
Stock 600cc or less
Stock 700cc or less
Stock 800cc or less
Stock 1000cc or less

Improved Classes $40.00 Changes include stock changes plus single or dual exhaust, heads, porting, carbs, clutches, boost bottle, reeds and lightweight parts.
Improved 700cc or less
Improved 800cc or less
Improved Open – no cc limit

Modified Classes $50.00 Rolled chain cases, custom tunnels, after market cylinders, are the additional changes allowed in this class. Turbochargers and nitrous oxide are allowed in both mod classes.
Mod 700cc or less
Mod Open – no cc limit

Masters Class $30.00. Driver must be a minimum of 50 years of age. Any cc
Vintage Class $30.00 1985 and older. No cc limit.
Ladies Class $30.00 Any stock or improved stock sled. No cc limit.

Dash for Cash $50.00 1 pay per class. (Runs at end of day, can enter at event)
Dash 3 = Stock
Dash 2 = Improved Stock
Dash 1 = Mods

Side by side Double elimination sounds fun and so does a hillcross if enough people would be interested or we could possibly be the following day.

What would every one think about doing a drag race the Day the ski resort closes, afterwards everybody could race to be the first to the top when the lift shuts down.

If these are the rules keep it posted so everyone can follow the same set.

The only way to follow rules this tight would be to have a more tech!! this would include teching of the first three places at the end of the event. MORE VOLUNTEERS!!! would be needed.

Same old way is fine too. Just racing for fun these days! What happen to Tollgate someone had a post about a Hillclimb maybe up at the Ski Hill, earlier in the year.

These are just the rules that they used up in Omak, I would like to see something like this implemented at Anthony though. It would be nice to see what everybody would like to do as far as rules and course set up. Rather to shorten and tighten the course or just leave it long and easy. Mabee run a two day event saturday to qualify and sunday for the finals and dash for cash?

A couple people have said the old way, but it would be nice if they would specify the old way because it has been different year to year. Would everybody like to go back to trophys, more jumps like there used to be, a tighter more challanging course unstead of a drag race up the hill like last year???????

Any suggestions or comments would be very helpful.

I would like to see it become a two day event since alot of people are traveling a long ways to get here.

More Volunteers would be great.

These are just suggestions maybe something to use as a basis, You and I both finished in the top 3 in Omak last year and there was no teching after the race. All they did was popped the hoods and listen to them run before the race and mostly went off of honesty I don’t think tech would be a big issue and I don’t think a person would fell to great if they know they have to cheat to win.

If we tighten the course up and make it a challenge the race times will be more based off of rider skill than the speed of there sled anyway. One time I watched a stock 440 win the open mod class and the King of the Hill when Anthony used to be a sanctioned event.

More volunteers would be great I got two more today that said they would be willing to do whatever they can to help.

Anthony is a fun race... lets not make it too serious.. on your honor tech (I mean it isn't Jackson, you win by cheating at Anthony.. you are a real loser)... Trophies are fine... side by side racing would be fun (but I thought the Forest Circus nixed that idea)... timing lights or stop watches are fine (its a laid back FUN race).

We like the old way with the double jumps (or you could roll through them) and just a lot of gates to the top... Have two racers on the course (say 15 seconds apart) so we can get through the day.. PRE-REGISTER or register by 8:30 AM of the day or no racin for you... our 2 cents..

I thought last year there were more racers than ever...

Yes last year Jason had great turn out this year Jason has no time and I am in Kansas so we are trying to put something together last minute. We are working on the circus.

WOMENS CLASS BOYZ!!!!!!!! LETS OPEN IT UP TO THE GIRLS HUH?

I would be willing to give a little of my time as well to helping where ever needed....

you know Janet (Plumnuts2) will be there... after all there is a race with F-Bomb and a tutu envolved...

Anthony lakes Hill Climb.

I realy like the idea of side by side and snow cross or drag race up the hill the next day to break it up a little. I realy like the jumps after i put them in a few years ago to many people complained so we took them out. Yes i am realy tired of the cheeters, every year we catch some one cheeting and it is realy sad that they need to do that to try and win. We need to check the sleds a little better in the classes but realy need to make it fun so riders come back. Wish we could get lights but if not side by side would be the way to go. Fun Fun.

What does everbody think of lowering the entry this year and going back to trophys have Anthony charge a small gate fee to make sure they get paid. then we will take the rest of the proceeds and invest in a timing system? I wanna do the side by side because I wanna WIPE out SNOPROYO... LOL If the rest doesnt want to do side by side BLOWN CHEVY, SNO PRO and I will do Hillcross. Blown has to ride a 88 phazer though.
