well, not directly polaris related but..., this was the highlights from yesterdays avy forcast
BOTTOM LINE
Avalanche danger remains at CONSIDERABLE for much of the region. 4-5 FEET of new snow has fallen in the last 3 days.
To recap the last several days –
Warming and high volume snow on Wed/Thursday brought 22 inches to Turnagain Pass with rain at low elevations
The snow is so deep that Non Avalanche Related Snow Immersion Death is a real possibility. We even saw a snowmachine stuck in the deep snow in the parking lot yesterday.

forgot to charge the go pro so ran out of batteries pretty early. it was this good all day.
now for the "polaris" part... as some of you know i broke a cylinder skirt at around 2000 miles on my 2011 pro (boy that brand new motor sure looks pretty...) and my sled wasn't ready yet so i borrowed my buddies brand new etec 146. have to hand it to ski-doo the handling is much improved (although what doesn't handle good in that much snow?) and the power is very impressive. definitely stronger than the pro motor.
BUT, good god is the gas millage bad!! less than 30 miles and i ran out of gas. in fact i just thought the electronic gauge was lying to me so i ignored it. bad choice. 29 miles and the sled came to a stop. now i did forgot to "burp" the sled so i started out a gallon short but with our snow conditions that would have only been 3-5 miles. "borrowed" so gas from some other dude and headed back to the truck. my buddy in the video is riding a 2012 pro and was just under a half tank. the etec is a strong motor but i thought they were suppose to get good gas millage, not so much...
