First of all I am starting this thread to answer some question I had but when I went to find them on the forum or from vendors I just found people asking the same questions or the vendors to busy to answer mine. Not blaming anybody I know vendors are busy and there are allot of different set up for M1000. I also now there is a thread with what other people are running and the set ups but I want to just keep this thread to these two questions.
Question #1 what is the proper reading for a koso air/fuel gage
My answer: From my understanding the lower the the # the richer the fuel mixture the higher the #the leaner example 14.7 to 1 is Ideal in a perfect ideal world so for my m1000 at alt of 8000 ft plus in temp of 10 to -10 you will want to see around 11 to 13 to 1 for a air/fuel ratio and that may be still lean depending on your setup. As far as setting the hi/low alarms I don't see the point since it all depends on temp and alt and its delayed anyway
Question # 2 what are your Boondocker #
My answer: First of all sled set up is important so My sled 07 m1000 162 is set up with RKT head, RKT porting. speedwerx intake, speedwerx pipe with can recommended by RKT I believe is sno stuff, BDX power valve delete, O7 ECU flash, oil delete, mixing fuel 40:1 91 octane. Currently I am going back to what RKT original set up was because I did a lean burn down on my motor trying to fine tune the boondocker # my fault completely not enough education on my part. when I ran this it seemed to rich had to learn the hard way. Also may try going to 32:1 oil fuel mixture
3000 -3 -3 0
5000 -2 0 3
6500 3 5 5
7200 4 7 23
7500 4 7 24
7800 4 7 24
Now these # are from the guy I bought the sled from and he said that these were the RKT base #s. I have tried several times to get a hold of RKT for conformation but have yet to talk to anybody and again not bad mouthing I know they are busy this time of year so I have left messages and hopefully the will contact me before I get the sled back together in a weak or two when I get the cylinders back from getting re nikoled.
So please post your info on these two questions and if i am wrong let me know again this is based on my research.
