The shoots are just nuts and at times the canopy looks to close for comfort to trees or mtns.

I attempted to build a parawing glider in the early 70's out of aluminum tubing, and bamboo and plastic sheeting. A very, very large kite. Lucky for me I didn't have enough money to do it right,
and didn't have as much of the knack or tools and lived in the relatively flatland of Mn. Maybe got about 20 ft off the ground for a couple hundred ft. This was a few years after doing three consecutive tours in Nam so I guess was still a bit nuts or had adrenaline addiction.

Fun to watch these vids. There is another one out there where they cliff jump in flying suits, no parachute until they land, flying down the mtn maybe 100 mph and they just clear a high spot by feet and then go for ever again all the way down into a valley. LRD why not take your super lightweight sled, build a chute 300% bigger and give it a shot? Throttle to lay back, brake to roll forward, handle bars to angle either way? HEY????????

The world's fastest human was the flying frenchman....key word WAS...he used to get dropped from a chopper in the Alps and fly down at world's record speed a couple of meters off of the snow. Absolutely amazing to watch the video. I think it was Tag Heuer watch company back in the day used him as their marketing program. Til he went splat
