Doesn't sound like GM even produces the transmission, since it is on a Ford, Dodge, and several GM products....
With that said....
GM has two vehicles ranking well above the industry standard and in the top 10 of the JD Power Associates Quality Study;
They beat out, BMW, Acura, Audi, Nissan.
So to say their quality is $hitty, is uniformed.

Could be, but Dodge did a way better job at re-creating the vintage Challenger than GM did with the Camaro.
Both nice cars though.
I work at a Chevy dealership and drive the new camaros a few times a week. The 6 speed SS doesn't just ooze testosterone it hemorages it. Car is a blast to drive and should come with a gurantee to get you on a first name basis with the boys in blue and your insurance agent...

Test drove one. 6.1 SRT Salesman in the passenger seat. He said "You sure are being nice to this car"..........I stopped at a red light, turned green and launched it. Rubber going into 3rd gear. Salesman said "--------". After he calmed down he asked me what I thought, said loved it, but this one has been beat.
I have an srt8 300c and believe me it does move out. I love when my wife lets me drive it. I believe it would give the ss a run for its money, they would be bummed when a four door keeps up.

If I could even come close to affording it I would have an M5 Period!!!!
I'm a hard core ford guy but that is one serious sports/luxury car.
And yeah the V is Badazzz on a pretty serious level but not sure the rest of the car is up to par with the Beamer

Buy the V. I love BMW's but GM did a fantastic job on the CTS. In certain affluent areas all you see is BMW's. Unless you're a car guy the M's just blend in. The CTS-V is truly an eye catcher and performance monster. My .02

Yes it sure will as it is the same motor as the V but not de-tuned like the V. Camaro and CTS V differnt animals but much better bang for your buck for the V and just see the faces on the young guy's face in a Camaro getting spanked by a 4000 lb four door...

Yes the GT-R is another fine car that will go like a raped ape. It is about 80 hp less than a V but sure it would give the V a run for the $$$
