Another bogging issue!

Ok.. So what to do?

I dont know !!!....put fire in the gas tank and wait:face-icon-small-sho
Change spark plug today and found that pto side was running very lean ...maybe result of the solid bogging I have this week ! (I stoped the sled just after It was bogging)

So the bogging may have for cause a fuelling issues.

Fuel pressure?
A mechanic on HCS said he has had to change out several, a dip in pressure shows up at the time of the bog.

Mine is now bogging too...I just had the throttle block replaced, so I'm thinking it is something in the block and or kill switch. How do I check this, what am I looking for??

The end .... I cant do more testing cause my engine is dead ...mag side piston , intake side , sized !!! Was only running 5200 rpm when it's happened so not to much damage. I will try to send picture later this week

The bogging issue is not taken serious by Polaris and the dealer techs are clueless as to why it's happening and all they are doing is throwing parts at the sled.
Does anyone really understand the fuel parameters and how they work on this system??

If it was like a automotive system, It is required by law to make there operating systems (electronics) available to the public.

I have a WOT bog after my PIPE is hot and holding it WOT for 15 seconds or longer and my dealer can't fix it.... WTF
I have had it since New 2011 Pro 163 its still a great riding sled and doesn't do it all the time..... but is annoying when it does.
I could figure it out myself if the (electronic) info was available to the public.

Watched your video, my '11 sounded the same.. WOT bog started around 6000rpm, new pipe sensor solved the problem.

Did you get a check engine light...last year I changed my pipe sensor,,,the sled bogged but was able to find the trouble cause engine code said it was the pipe sensor.

But now we don't have check engine code :face-icon-small-dis

Yesterday I found in my repair manual that a bad gap between the crank sensor and the magneto can cause : -hard engine starting
-bad reverse operation
-bad engine performance
The gap between the sensor and magneto must be 0.020 to 0.030 .
If the gap is correct,, maybe try to change the two crank sensor

This may or may not help but it cost nothing to try.
Remove the exhaust temperature prob, with 320 sandpaper clean with care Re-install. It gave me a day of trouble free bog so far.

I can tell you I chased this same exact bog on my 11 for weeks on end

injectors
fuel filter
coils/wires
plugs
clutch spring
cleaned exhaust valve
checked tps
checked compression, checked good
switched plugs
changed gas
could not find it dealer stuck camera in y pipe found tons of blow by on both pistons and exhaust side Mag piston scuffed. couldnt stand it anymore. warranty and traded it in on 13
No more issues.
Seems to be a lot of bogs and people finding alot of worn out pistons/rings had a dragon do the same thing. went down on power till it started to bog looked at pistons and all worn out.
Polaris may have fixed injector issues from Dragons but didnt change piston problems IMO

Mine has RKT kit, pistons and head, 900 miles on kit, been running flawless till now. WFO bog just started, just starting to go through it.

Bog issue

My 11 had bog problems went threw all this with it replaced everything ecu injectors stator pipe sensor checked tps and what finally fixed it was the temp sensor I would try that

I feel for ya since I am going thru the same chit . A lot of my problem was the clutch. Now it will rip than die and than take off again and go into det. It has been at the dealer for 3 weeks now and they still do not know (so much for the DW ). They are trying everything I tried, every time I call they think they found it than guess what that's not it .
Where do you go from here ???
I am thinking about parting it out it has been nothing but a disappointment.
POlariS it even has it in it's name POS.

Temp sensor

What drew your attention to the temp sensor?

It would run fine for a while and then I would let it sit and cool and then it would bog really bad and would be intermittent in rpm and throttle and the more I would ride it it would go away they replaced it I sold the sled now but the guy said its been running good for him I waisted two years on that sled in and out of the dealer with nothing but problems with it. it almost cured me of ever buying another Polaris but bought a new 13 and its been really good so far

I'm having a bog issue with my 11' 800 run down the trail about 3/4 throttle to WOT and bogs alittle let off throttle, and back on then goes away for a bit. Then bam WOT almost fell off the bars tonight. I've had the sled in the dealer, no codes, they said it was because of my new iridium plugs WTF, so they installed ngk plugs, oh it runs fine they said. Well I finally put miles on tonight, and BOG!
