My boss gave me crap when I first started with them, the first winter, and I told them straight out. My performance is directly related to or enhanced by the amount of fun I have in my life. I snowmobile, that happens in the winter, you can either support me by not giving me crap for using my PTO days then or I can be another one of those employees that will find a job that has no problem with my lifestyle. They have been very supportive ever since and even suggest I have a cold one at the top for them. they even have a pool going based on the weather reports of "lots of snow and sun" and they are usually right....I'm "sick"...:D

Which I did, while you sorry sacks were working.....:D:beer;:sun:

I know I'm in the wrong state right now.....but ya know what's worse??
I'm building condos AT THE VAIL ****KING SKI RESORT ! and I work outside inthe freezin'@ss weather every day and can't ride 'til Sat. And all our field engrs and Proj engrs went for 2 hr "ski lunches" yesterday and today!:mad:
(Oh, it's snowed 3' ++ since Tues!)

I just quit my job and went riding, ok only joking........I say we start up a new magazine, maybe call it "JustaDude" or "CoyeteGirl" something that would catch your eye in the store, all in memory of the office job....hook up with the sleds and test ride all day, in the summer we will switch to boating or 4 wheelers and we can all sit around at night (drink of choice) and sleep peacefully knowing our jobs are solid, why you ask....because there are addicts just like us on this site who cannot get enough of where we would go and what we would print, nice blue sky days that is what the West is all about.....! :sun: :):cool:

Maybe this will help for you having to work thursday and not riding---

:eek:The snow was not deep--the sky was not blue---and the riding was not fun at all:eek:.

Our sport like some is dependant on the weather. You know whether or not you are going on the DAY of EPIC conditions. An addiction of sorts. Mine usually needs the best day of the week. Sometimes more to keep up with some Joneson. At times has even cut into work or family functions. But nothing is worse than that feeling of not gettin it when others are just plain tearin it up. A magazine would be cool for the throttle junkie.
There needs to be a word to describe that day of not gettin it when its time to be hittin it.
And as far as posting pictures well thats just a measurement of success.

I am not so sure of the "when do we start" its the "where do we start". Worth a shot though! I have the graphic designer /printing part handled, just need the stories and the mfg/dealers sleds. Photographer? Advertising? Sometimes ideas start off like this, never know? Oh, we need one more thing, Money! My Ex wanted all of mine so I bought her out and got two wonderful kids in exchange! Funny how that works....:rolleyes: I just might think about this idea......and then get serious about it! Take it easy!
