Some type of hover craft technology would be cool on a sled chasis.

Sure would be nice.I think it will be something revolutionary. Things like a rotary engine come to mind or a hybrid 4/2 stroke. The only thing people hate about the 4 stroke is the weight. So figure out how to build a 4 stroke as light or very close. With direct injection could it be possible that no crankcase volume is needed?
Things like, doesn’t burn any oil, doesn’t go bang if it gets lean and accepts boost easily
Not to burst your bubble but reason we left Yamaha was the poor chassis design (Nytro) which was a step backwards. Even the nytro motor in a pro chassis would have been a major upgrade. Still waiting to try a new Viper but from what I can gather it still doesn't handle as well as the pro chassis ....
Yamaha likely has the best R&D and deepest pockets of all the OEM's but seems like sleds are pretty low on priorities.
I own both a Pro and a 16' Viper. The Pro chassis is nowhere near the chassis as the Ac... There is a reason you see everyone needing to "dangle" to keep the Pro in line. There is far less effort needed to do the same with the Ac chassis. But to each there own..
So you just sit on your AC? Do you have to lift your butt occasionally? Do you ever have to stand from time to time?
If you watch AC promo videos it seems like AC thinks its riders need to "dangle" too!

sounds like a hpdi 2 stroke if you listen to both.
I love out riding people on their own sled. Happens all the time. Learn how to ride first. I'm awesome online.
I think there IS in fact a new 2 stroke engine coming from Yamaha.
What I do NOT know is if it will be in a Yamaha sled or not...
You're also my online hero. Someday I'll grow up to be kewl like you.
Also, keep in mind that the HDPI 200 HP outboard is about 450 lbs and it is a V6. In the mountain segment I think that is just a tad over target weight....especially when you still have to wrap a chassis around it.
Thank you. I appreciate the recognition. Someday you will be just keep posting how cool you are online. Someday it will stick. Thanks again.
Difference is I never said I was. Narcissistic much?
