Am I out of line here

I sold hundreds of gallons of Sunoco 110 this year and ran some myself in my boosted M1000 with out issue. I doubt it was fuel, if anything possibly not high enough octane for the boost level, but I don't know the octane requirements fot Yami motor.

Don't people run 18 lbs. on stock motors? seems weird that aftermarket pistons would let go at similar boost levels that stock pistons work at.

I have a buddys sled that I built for him. Head shim , 2 gaskets (not 1 split) 2860 turbo, stock pistons and rings. We run his sled at 17 lbs all the time on 50/50. In fact I believe the stock pistons are stronger than the JE's but the pistons are not the issue the stock rods are. The stock rods are tiny compared to the Carrilos. The reason I went with JE's is the abiltiy to change the compression of the motor without a head shim. This allows for a more powerful combustion. The difference in throttle response is night and day, on our 2 sleds anyways.

I am one who would think that they would do what they can to help you out. Not just the dealer who put it together but also the company who supplied the parts....just for pr sake....02

I ran 17-18lbs on AVgas (Alpine Kit) pretty much all year with just a head-shim. I also ride with others who do the same, zero problems.:beer;
