I smoked my belt today and it literally looked like it blew up. Rubber and cordage everywhere. The belt cord was webbed in between the ring gear and the primary, so I decided to take the primary off to clean it up. Well to my surprise there was all kind of belt cords/string tightly wrapped around the crankshaft. Needless to say I no longer had a crank seal, it was gone (rubber part). So my question is am I just lucky or is this happening to others as well? I read about all these fried belts just wondering if they are checking their crank seals? Oh yea the sled is an 2006 800PT Gade.
