alternative to slp powder valves

know there is one out there but i forgot what it is called or who was making it. it worked pretty much the same way but had filter material over it. it was black and round. know i use t have one... any ideas? little frustrated i can't figure it out.

thanks. i checked them out but don't think that is it. the one i was looking for was spring loaded so when the air pressure increased from blocked airflow it would open up. but there was filter material over it so it wouldn't allow in just anything.

After watching the vid I wonder if the valve opens without the air intake blocked?

That is the point... they are NOT supposed to open until the normal intakes are plugged with snow...

I told you on sunday they were made by BTL designs, same guys that make the quick clickers and we sell them through WPS

That is the point... they are NOT supposed to open until the normal intakes are plugged with snow...

Right.... But do they open so easily that they open under full throttle conditions with the intake clean?

In my opinion if they open under full load with the others unobstructed, just means free air for the engine=hp

nope..they pull air from between the fuel tank and airbox..area actually stays quite cool..mines had a way to breathe from there since new(I installed a 2" flowrite)..runs exactly the same track speed and rpm weather its open or closed(I just run a peice of duct tape over it until needed, then remove the tape)...difference is with this done the sled can submarine all day without missing a beat..which it wont do with any other vent/filter mounted on the hood or sidepanels when in over the hood snow........

I just ordered a set of 2in ones myself. If you look at there demo video on there website beefspots, it will give you a good idea where to mount them.
