The advertising department has sold some of the "Blocks" to a Co-Op group, who then fills them with all manner of different ads aimed at "Outdoors" sales.

Makes complete sense to keep the forum alive and supporting the costs of running the forum with subscription costs, but seems funny to even remotely think it is ok to also receive advertising money from companies that are fighting just as fast to shut us down. And, we understand how "Block" Advertising works, but that is no excuse. Get rid of the companies supporting those block ads, simple as that. If that means the forum fails because of a loss of funds, there is an entire other issue at hand, but at least we are not allowing the companies fighting us to get any larger in the mean time.

Good thing people aren't shopping this time of year, otherwise they would be buying TEVA, NORTH FACE, and PATAGONIA.

You could look at it that way yes. But all advertising is good advertising. It may not be as profitable as other spots that they advertise but some people will inevitably click and buy.

I guarantee you that REI would not let SnoWest put up an advertising campaign on their site…

Plus, from our standpoint, why would we pay to share advertising spots with companies pushing for the demise of our sport, and therefor the demise of our company.

I say call them up and get them to spend as much as they can advertising here.... Millions if possible. The more money they are spending in advertising here the LESS their spending on trying to close our riding areas. And not to mention the return on investment must SUCK from this site. HAHAHA LOL
