Alpine

staying in dubois the week after valentines, me and a couple other guys are planning on swinging over to alpine the last part of the week and checking it out. Need to see some new places, sounds like it's a pretty nice place to ride. Would like to hook up with someone local or familiar with the area and go riding since we have never been there before. Might swing over to Idaho Falls and take a look around also, thinking about moving out there.

Don't waste ur time on IF unless u want a job at Wal-mart!

Alpine is a great place to live and ride. 36 miles south of Jackson Hole and quiet. My husband and I live in Alpine and ride a lot up the Greys River. Terrain for everybody from the begginer to adanced. It is beautiful too- one of God's great creations!

Thinking about heading to alpine around new years looks like they may get a little snow. Are the conditions worth making the trip? I am sure they havn't gotten snow lately just like many places but I am just looking at riding some new terrain.

Alpine: A great drinking town with a riding problem.

That little burg has it all, great riding for everyone and a rowdy night life. the Bull Moose Saloon has everything from strippers to cage fighting (the parking lot fighting is good too) and you can rent a room there now. I don't think anyone has been shot or stabbed there in a while but watch your back.

A lot of SW regulars live in Alpine so you have a good chance of getting a locals tour.

We need a lot more snow, check for updates before you waste the gas.

Snow is starting to pile up in town. I live just south of alpine( bout 8 miles)Rode North Murphy last two weekends in the greys. probly 5 feet and there should be around a foot to two feet of fresh pow by saturday. im headed up tommarrow morning with the turb.

Take pics if you ride Murphy's, I rode in there last Feb and that was some of the funnest country I have seen in that area, I don't know the area well but to the West of Murphy's Lake all the way to where the 4 wheeler trail ends was some deep deep pow in the trees!!
