Alpine Plateau

Spent 4 days down in Arrowhead riding the Alpine. It was really good snow, better than I've seen up there in years. Found some incredible tree/boondocking riding, built a jump, and took the ladies out. Great way to ring in the new year. 2-4 foot snowpack depending on altitude. Most of the north facing trees stuff is PRIME with 4-6 feet of good snow and a nice base.

Where is Arrowhead/Alpine Plateau?

between montrose and gunnison about 30 miles south west of the blue mesa res. I had never been there and i was impressed.

Is this a full service place with fuel for the sleds. If where big int boondocking and deep powder how does Arrowhead rate?

If your looking for a lodge that you can ride from, check out the Black Mesa Lodge. It's about 40 miles west of Gunnsion and has great snow and is a boondockers paradise. I would recommend this over Arrowhead lodge as the snow is much better and the trail system is a lot better as well.

Mark, just get that sled running!!!!!!!!!!!!! This weekend will be GREAT up at Irwin. Robinson Basin should be killer. Better have that turbo going to make it.

You don't know how bad I want to go ridin'. Couple of weeks and I'll be moved in and then it'll be time to rip it up.
