Alpine or Power World for service?

Heh, heh, somebody's gotta defend Cat, even if they appear to be going the wrong way in the weight dept.:boxing: I think we're going with "built sturdy like Yamaha":face-icon-small-ton For an extra 2 grand you can easily drop 30#:face-icon-small-dis I think i'll watch them for a year or two and see how they work.

Yeah, the old M needs to be retired to the empty side of the trailer. Got a new to me, 09 OVSRGTM8 with 800 miles. Built and tuned by OVS so it should run good for awhile. Got it in July, so it hasn't been towed out yet.. Until then, I can talk reliability smack right Gonna need boost to hang with them feather-weight Pro's!

Yeah, I knew it would be a bad idea buying a sled in July. Did get it out for a quick rip mid-july at the snowies. Found a patch of snow along the road 100 yards long:face-icon-small-ton I got video of it too! should post it up. Lot's of Braaap for 2 seconds, then silence, braaap, silence, braap silence. lol

congrats!! once you ride boost there is not another option! :face-icon-small-coo

Ha ha, yeah, can't wait for the deep days!

and it's gonna be a little different for everybody! depending on the size/skill of the rider and the feel your looking for.

Rusty,

Your first point is exactly what most folks are looking for. If you have to set the sled up anyhow, why not set it up FOR the rider? We all have different needs/ wants, but you can get a start anyhow by setting up a sled more toward what that particular rider is looking for. (when I bought my last sled they put 6-9k weights in it... I've ridden below 9k ONCE, EVER and the guys there know exactly where & how I ride... a touch of consideration goes a long way)

Just a 2 min conversation can tell you approx how you want to set up the skid, and how his clutching would ideally be.

I've bought my last few sleds from you guys, only reason I didn't last year was because clint had THE NERVE to sell my sled the weekend I was in the avalanche, so you didn't have it when I went looking (He said they ordered it for me... wth???:face-icon-small-win).

Making people feel like the sled is a tad more personalized (as many people are clueless about how to set them up) would be a big selling point & a very easy option to add for a few bucks.

Just some things to think about.

Btw, looking forward to riding with you guys more this year, to show you how much tuning REALLY is involved with riding a turbo ;D (well, a turbo on something other than an XP that is...)

we're setting up all these new cats for 9000 and above, should be getting in the new weights this next week.

we definitely need to hook up for a few rides this year! i need to get some good video/photos of your crazy riding!!! as far as "tuning the turbos" i certainly need an education! to be honost, im all about riding my stock XP. isnt riding that turbo stuff kind of like cheating anyway? :face-icon-small-win.

Hey Rat I hope the summer has been good to you. The work your talking about isn't that difficult and you can handle it. And it's good to do your own work as it could come in handy to have the on the trail repair knowledge. Will be your way at Christmas time see you soon >>>>.

Alpine for sure. I have never been to Power World. I would never go back to Extreme. If you lived in Summit County and your issue wasn't related to a warranty issue, David Shell at 970 468 2562 is also good.

Sorry Kaleb, I would have held it for you had I known you were going to pancake your other sled!

PW welcomes anyone who wants to try out a new Cat or Doo, I have a few demo's with the turbo 1100 and the M8 SP as well as Summit's. As soon as there is enough snow, we will be hosting a demo day at Vagabond Ranch, so hit me up if you are interested in riding.

Really looking forward to it! Its always fun to ride some new, different sleds. Lets stay in touch regarding dates, the ranch has been seeing a lot of winter reservations lately. Were you thinking late November? Obviously snow is a factor.

Fu............!

I don't ever dick with mine. Can't say that about some Cat and Poo guys I have ridden with. Ride minutes, bend over and push buttons on the BD box, ride another minutes, rinse and repeat!

5 minutes in the morning and I'm GTG. barring some drastic temp changes, I don't ever have to do anything, just a quick little turn and away we go.

I'd rather stick myself in the eye than take anything I own to pw. Learned that lesson well. Just my experiences. I've got 25 years of good rid in left and will never spend a dime in that place.

so i take it you had a bad experience with john or nick? you know, those guys have been gone for over two years and the shop has really changed how we work with folks. im not saying we are perfect now, we are far from it! but we are certainly doing whatever it takes to get guys in and out and leaving happy. and i think thats all you can really ask from a shop, especially in this economy. no shop or individual can please everyone AND pay the bills.

so i guess my two cents in the end comes down to encouraging you to come by the shop, introduce yourself, talk to us for awhile and the determine if you would rather poke your eyes out with needles or do business with us! and if you dont want to do business with us, that is absoulutly ok. all we can ask for is a second shot! but it would be nice if you werent still badmouthing us from something that happened two and a half years ago!
