Alpine or Afton questions

Looking for a new place to try for our big trip in January. We've done Tog., Snowies, West Yellowstone. The two things we need are rooms for 40-50+ people and have good riding right from the lodge with no trailering. We also want equal to or better off trail riding then the places listed above.
Do any lodges around the Alpine or Afton area have what we are looking for.
Thanks for any input or phone numbers D.D.

Have to add more to the need list.
Room for 40-50+ people and most like there own bed to sleep in.
Need a big room or bar to bs, drink, and play poker in.

I got on Rockin M Ranch's web site and they have 7 cabins that sleep 8 each, so I expect 4 beds to a cabin. That only leaves room for about 20-25 people.

Please keep the info coming Thanks DD.

Bullmoose motel and saloon in Alpine. You can take off to Greys River Trailhead or McCoy Creek trailhead from the parking lot. Phone #307-654-7593. It's right in the middle of the thriving metropolis of Alpine. Grocery store and gas right next door.

Meaning you can ride the sled from the lodge's parking lot to the trailhead ?

During winter Alpine can be ridden from anywhere in any direction, snow permitting, which shouldn't be a problem in Jan.. I ride out of my garage...makes me wonder sometimes why I spent so much money on an enclosed trailer!;):beer;:beer;

Thanks guys for the info. I will pass it on and see what happens. We may need more lodging then the Moose can provide, is there any places that we should stay away from that aren't snowmobilier friendly?

Alpine thrives off the lake in the summer, hunting season, and snowmobiling in the winter. It is basically a sportsmans paradise. Flying Saddle is another option that is easily accessable to the same places. I believe they may have more rooms easier access to breakfast lunch and dinner but I think the bar capacity (although really nice) is under 50 people. I think you would still find yourself at the bar at the bullmoose. You could always ride between the two. They build a snowmobile lane on the bridge going over the snake river.
Good Luck.:beer;

X2 on the Flying Saddle Resort, we stay there in Feb. every year and there are around 15 to 30 people who ride, they have a bar but it is small and the pool is awesome, Bull Moose is the place to party but there is also a bar by the chevron in Alpine, I believe it's called Alpenhaus?

Thanks for all the info. Just thought I would ask about the snowmobilier friendly service. 54 of us went to Grand Lake a few years back and we felt like it was the sierra club capitol not the snowmobile capitol. Not one of us will ever go back! Alpine sounds like what we are looking for.
Thanks again DD

The Alpen Haus hotel and bar also has an italian restaurant that's new. That's located by the chevron at the junction between the Flying Saddle and the Bullmoose. I do not know much about Alpen but just like anything in Alpine it would cater to any snowmobilers. They build the snowcross track right next to it and last year had a sled rental place called the Board Place on sight. It was all Polaris rentals last year, and I think Rockin M Ranch will rent sleds. You never know when somebody will need one;).:beer;:beer;
