My uncles were in an avalanche today in Alpine. One walked out to get ahold of search and rescue and the other three are still buried from what I know. Anyone out there riding in that area today? I guess it happened around 2:30.

Damn it - I was logging on tonite to remind everyone NOT to get complacent with the avy danger. We are not out of the woods yet, and, maybe not for the rest of the year. News like this just rips an old mans heart apart. I don't know many of you personally, but I say a prayer for each and every one of you all during the sledding season. I am so very sorry for those who may have perished today, RIP brutha's.:rose:

I was told 3 were buried and 1 made it out. 4 total all from Caribou County.

They were headed up Indian Cr. It is located on the east side of the Palisades Reservoir.

Man, it's like its not real. The trucks are still parked at the local sled shop. Waiting their return. Lots of broken hearts here in Soda Springs tonight.

RIP my friends.

from what i know, there were 3 in the alpine, bedford area. haven't had great communication from poor cell service. one of my uncles was able to get out of the way and hike to call search & rescue and they found my other uncle an hour ago. i haven't heard if all three have passed away.
