Almost bought a new sled

Went to my "local" dealer to drop off my clutch for a rebuild on Saturday and noticed a sign... no payments or interest for a year on Polaris sleds. I waffled around for quite a while... 10 Dragon 163", 10 Dragon 155", 10 RMK 800 155", 09 Dragon 163", 09 Dragon 155" were the choices. Settled on the 09 163", was going to add a can, skid plate, and under seat bag with rebate money the dealer was offering, $3k trade for my 03 Escape, but Polaris said no-go on the financing. Oh well, I don't really ride enough to justify a brand new sled anyways, but it sure would have made for a fun season :D
I was surprised how much easier it was to pull the Dragon over compared to my sled on the dealership floor, is it similar on the hill? Funny thing is, I have been debating a newer sled for a while now, but was considering Revs, XP's, and M8's mostly and had ruled the Dragon out because of the issues they've been having. Funny what no payments or interest for a year does to sway a guys opinion :D

Talk about SWAY! After looking at different sleds this year, I ended up with a 09 RMK Shift due to the financing deal they offer. I couldnt pass it up. Dealer wanted to unload the sled and gave me the right price with the right deal. Couldnt be happier.:D

After this w/e I am officially over any recommendation on the Polaris 800. After getting my sled all figured out during the entire season last year, mine is leaning out and scored another piston on sunday. Thankfully I have a 600 that I can ride, but my 800 is a piece of chit.

Oh yeah....I did get the 600. I didnt want to go through all the problems like you all. I am not the biggest guy so I know I will go anywhere I want on the 600.

The dealer assured me there wouldn't be any problems with the 2010 update... I figured hell, at least it will have a warranty when it burns down.

HSBC financing is crappy at best, but the line they use is great to pull you in. And yes, the Raw chassis is that easy to pull over in the powder compared to the Edge, you'll enjoy it when you buy it.

I ride with a buddy who has an 03' Edge with a big bore and all the trimmin's.

I must say that when comparing my XP and a new M1000......Well lets just say the dude is a poster child for hanging onto an older sled and making everything work. He outrides us and essentially kicks our new "Sally Sled" butts and schools us on his ol' edge!!

Well he's got a little bit more go than me with my stock pipe, motor, etc :D But yeah these "old school" trailing arm sleds can still rock with the right rider on them (aka, NOT me :D)
