wouldn't saying people with low posts think they are sooooo cool be attacking us whats the problem if I don't post much.
....and lil' poo yeah there were a few tears, my mom passed on three years ago april 12th , but if big fu.. i mean big truck's hobby is banging a dead body..well enjoy then!
sorry to here about your mom but we all sled and some of us pw have desk jobs like tg800 said and some of us live 800 miles away from the mountains so we post on week days before i travel 800 miles one way twice a month to ride for 3 days each time so all the sled talk i can get illl take
I'm on here a lot, and feel like posting, but I don't usually have anything constructive to add...wait, that's ok around here!

Sorry to hear about your mom. There was a time on this forum when it was verboten to talk about a 4m members family in a negative way ..... very sad that not only has this line been crossed, but now they pile on.
Oh sure once you tell them about your mom they come back and apologise .... but, come on, have a little respect.
It makes me wonder about someones social behaviour when most of there friends are on the web. My negative responces to the post whoring have been called "anti-social behaviour" by a head doctor no less.
It used to be that social activity happened outside of your house.(unless you were throwing a party)
You would put on your best clothes, shower, shave, brush your teeth etc. You would make yourself presentable. I'm not saying you guys don't look after your personal hygene .... but it is not a prerequisite(sp) to do so when "talking" on the web. Think about it, your "meeting" in the same place where most of you source your p0rn. The guy your "talking" to could have just pulled off a batch and now he's "talking" to you.
And the way the post whores SWARM you when you say something negative about them, is most definitely not accepted social behaviour in the "real" world, It is actually frowned on. Or maybe it's different in your town. But most places give all swarmings, be it on the street or in virual reality, a big thumbs down.
This in my opinion is anti-social behaviour. When a large percentage of your friends live far from you and you are unable to have face to face meetings, you are not carrying on a normal relationship.
Not saying that great friendships can not happen on the web .... but if MOST of your friends are from the web, ummmm .... thats not normal.
GET A LIFE, go out and meet "real" people. Have "real" friends not virtual ones.

Back to the judgement side of things..... Again, the majority of this statement is personal opinion.... Don't get me wrong here.... I agree completely with the swarming and the "socializing" should be done face to face.... But as for the pulling a batch.... I would rather say hi to a guy that just did the knuckle shuffle than shake his hand!!
But.... To say that MOST of my friend are from the web, is a statement of personal opinion..... You have no idea who I am and for that matter.... most ppl on snowest. You have no idea what I do for work. You have no idea what I do for entertainment, you don't even know my name. So how is it you know what my social life is like?
This isn't an attack.... but more of a guide as to why these arguements happen.... This is a personal attack on a group of people. You have to expect a swarmed retaliation.
Post count doesn't mean you have no life outside a computer.... just means for some that you have a pile of free time where you are committed to be somewhere and you need something to kill time with. I have a pile of people on my leases everyday, it wouldn't go over well if I have to tell em to wait by the window of my truck while I finish tossing my cookies...

been over this many many times already!!!!!!!!!!! we do have "real" friends in the "real" world!!! and in fact, a lot of us on the max thread are friends in "real" life. i've been sledding with a few of them, in fact one posted right above me, others have met many more. and we are all planning a big trip to revy next year. rooms booked and paid for at a "real" hotel!!!!!! can you imagine that! but if we offend you delicate sensibilities so much, DON'T READ IT, don't respond to it, just ignore it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! trust me, if people would quite giving everyone in that thread such a hard time, i guarantee they would leave you alone!!!!!!!!!! pretty straight forward and simple!!!!! maybe too simple for some on here though it seems!!!!!!!!!!

and thats what we have all said from the get go, you get mobbed when you attack a mob, this is just common sense. you are crazy to think that if a group of people are attacked that society stands up for the attackers when the group defends themselves, when a select few go and try to start a fight for no reason witha group of peeps just hanging out that have made it very clear that all are welcome, the select few get nailed to the wall, either come in and have a good time or leave us alone. many that have abshed us until hanging out some and being a part of our group rather than bashing have decided it is kinda fun.
and i am another that interacts with "real people" all day, and have riden with over 12 of the max threaders, this is just a way to keep in touch between rides
