all season sled?

Been thinking alot about building me a water sled. I know absolutely nothing about them except the stance is narrow and shortened. How much work really goes into the water sled builds? Easily convertable back for the snow? I Havent gotten a chance to get out this winter but more of a reason to build one for the lake! :)

Hope everyone is riding safe and smart!

Water-X is a big deal back east. Not sure you'll find much info on setup through SW. Try amsnow or snowmobilefanatics maybe. A lot more mid-west and east coasters on there. A place that you might call is GLH Performance. They have a full water-x team and probably could give you the ins-n-outs of how much work it is to change from a winter to summer setup. Good luck.

shorten front shocks. 121 track with 1 1/4 track silicone front heat exchanger duck tape where the panels come together and make sure no water can get to your belt and clutches. play with the rear suspention some people like it stiffer some people like it soft.

I've rode on the water a lot, raced in IWA once, sank it twice.

Make it water tight, make sure your air intake is able to take water spray. Use a hard paddle track, powder tracks don't work well.

This will give you a start if you just want to try some skipp'n.

Make sure you can retrieve the sled wherever you try it.

This will be a good start, if you get serious want want a race setup email IWA they are more than willing to help you get started.
