Hey forum guys, quick simple question please... tired of hangin me spare goggles to dry on the oil resevoir....so i"m going to fab a bag/box up under the speedo......if i do not! have the stock intake anymore and i remove that shield under the speedo....i wanted to make sure noone has had any problems from doing that...excessive heat er contaminents etc??

Melted the headlight when I did it. Cover everything with aluminum tape if you remove it.

i ran mine 3 years with out it in place with no problems. that is where i fastened my wps goggle bag.

What melted was the front mount for the headlight. So if you stick some heat tape on this you shouldn't have any concerns. I have a CPI pipe on, if you have a stock pipe with heat shielding on it you will have no issues either.

That's where I've had the goggle dryer going on 3 yrs now, using Cats' goggle holder.
