Ok i have a 2007 600HO i took the vents out of the hood and took off the foam ring around the air box. I am getting told by the dealer service tech that if i run my sled without the foam ring it will cause it to burn down. Seems to me it will do better if it can get more air and breathe. I ride at 8000-10000 feet not much air up here... any truth to this?????

What did you do with the holes left in your dash from where the vents were? Why would you remove the foam? If everything is left open like that you are asking to injest all kinds of snow and any other critters you ride through like tree branches, needles, trail trash, etc.

Well the vents on my dash are still in place with outerwears on them. The only vents I took out are on my hood! Agreed to your point if I had the dash pods open....
