Air Density Advantage (ADA)

What do you need? The instructions for how to mount the ada hardware during your turbo install, or just the control box instructions? If you are looking for the hardware mounting it will be in the turbo kit install instructions, the other will be under control boxes in the Arctic Cat section.

Below is a link to our instructions page, on our website, if you dont find what you are looking for let me know, and i will be more than happy to help you out. Thanks Diann

First, I would like to say BD you have hands down the best instructions out there. The ability to download them from the site is nice for prospective buyers. Your competitors are about 5 years behind the times here.....

I may have missed something here, but
My turbo instructions for the 2010 kit have nothing on the ADA wiring (outdated I guess) or boost controller. It just shows hooking the boost reference hose straight to the boost actuator (which we all know is incorrect). Maybe this comes with the EBC when it ships?

The 09 instructions have nothing about the ADA wiring/transducer/etc. I am sure it is not hard to figure out, but directions are nice.

The BD turbo control box has nothing about the ADA wiring/transducer/etc, but talks about the settings. Ditto on the above.

Can you post the PDF file with EBC instructions as well as instructions for how the ADA wires/mounts for 2009 kits? This would be nice to help plan the install of the EBC while we all WAIT and WAIT for it...... :)

Thanks!

Thanks Diann. If you can find the 2009 ADA installation and manual it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, are you going to be posting the EBC instructions in PDF form on your website soon?

Thanks again

Yes we will get them up asap. I will let you know when they are up. Should be tomorrow or monday, I will get the 2009 specs for you as well. Thanks Diann

I see the ADA instructions are up. Any news on the EBC instructions?

I am so confused right now after seeing the ADA instructions . . . is the ADA part of the EBC? the directions only show kits with an intercooler, do non intercooled kits not use the ADA? My kit is missing the actuator linkage, is that part of the EBC kit? This whole EBC mess is not cool, I have the kit installed and wires routed. . . how does the EBC connect into all this? If I have to re-do all the wiring, I'm gonna be HOT! when my kit showed up it was supposed to be shipped with the transducer, but they forgot to throw it into the box. So yes I have a useless Sled sitting in my shop until the EBC shows up :(

I'm also waiting for the PG kit with the EBC..
One thing that I wonder about is the settings on the BD box, isn't there settings for rpm any more, like on the regular boxes for N/A tuning?
Or is it only inputs for compensating the boost? Am I missing something here?

As I expected,(again) when It comes to advanced tech questions, no one has the slighest clue one what's going on.
Is the forum only for tire kickers and styling?

You can still tune the rpm range, on the ADA boxes you will need to be over to advanced mode to do this. What kit is this going on? thx D

LOL, it would seem so. It amazes me how much $$$ people spend on thier sleds and are clueless what everything does and how to tune/troubleshoot.

As far as the BD box: I am no expert, but the advanced mode has all of the RPM ranges and fuel settings based on load for each range as before. I believe the "simple tuner mode" was to compete with the Dobek boxes touted "easy to adjust just like a carb" features that seem to cater to the majority of the sheep out there that don't want to learn. For me, less adjustability is a huge negative and the BD electronics is the only reason I went with thier turbo kit. I would rather spend the time to get it 100% and have the tools to do it. And yes, the BD box takes the electrical signal from the boost transducer and adjusts fuel with boost based on the settings you enter. This is a lot better way to do it IMO than a generic fuel control based on RPM/load.
