Afton wy

Wondering if there is snow near Afton. Weather shows Afton getting hit hard with snow thinking about making my way up there and if its worth it. Thanks

Been raining the past few days here in alpine, some snow up high but Im not headin up there. cant imagine its much different in afton unless you know some secret spots.

Yeah I'm heading up to alpine to the cabin for thanksgiving tomorrow. Debating on taking The sleds??? It was raining hard here in Logan last night

Take the sleds and run up salt pass and let me know how it is. I just don't wanna drive a couple hours to put just a couple breakin miles

some guys i know have went up to salt last weekend.. they said it wasn't to bad and was snowing hard when they left.. one said it was up to his waste up on top

Nope decided to leave the sleds at home. Saw some guy filling up his sleds at the gas station. Seems like the snow is up towards and past Jackson. We went up to Jackson with the family with the niece and nephew to see Santa and I saw a few trailers coming through that night with snow on them and a couple sleds in the back of trucks with sleds in them. maybe they went to Togwotee??

that mightve been me you saw if it was at alpine market saturday evening, black truck with a doo and a pro on top. rode continental divide past TML on Sunday, snow was a lot better than I thought it would be. still some landmines here and there but a lot of snow over the cowl, supposed to be nice all week and get some more snow up there this weekend.

Yeah that was you! I don't know if you saw me I drove by in a white duramax I didn't have my deck on and I was thinking where is that guy going! Might head up that way Sunday/Monday after The storms. How far is togwotee from alpine?

I think it was about 1:45 from alpine, definitely less than 2 hours. if there was enough snow in alpine i wouldnt be driving anywhere but I had to get on the sleds finally. I know of some people talking about going saturday and sunday, if youre looking at going out Monday let me know.

I'll let you know for sure. I might head up to Alpine Sunday and ride monday. How do you think Smiths Fork is or will be after this weekend?

I have no idea, im new to alpine, just moved here from Maine about a month ago. After spending last winter in Whistler there was no way I was spending another winter on the east coast.

Smith fork is at the south end of the valley right? drove through it a few weeks ago going to salt lake and wasnt very impressed but it could all be different now..

Just curious if Smiths Fork has gotten any snow out of the recent storms. Is it rideable yet?

Rockin M Ranch mentioned Smith fork in their thread, said some people have been riding it and theres at least 3 feet out there, not sure what they got from the storm today but I can only imagine they got blasted.

Any update on whats going on at Smith Fork? South end of the Star Valley?

Thinking about driving up from Park City for a couple days around the 20-22.
