Aftermarket single for RKT M7-8 BB

Which Speedwerx pipe do you run? For low elevation Kelsey recommends the AC925S-M-2 0-5000 feet pipe. The list price for this pipe does include the y-pipe. You can not run this y-pipe as stated earlier. Get just the pipe. Kelsey recommends running D&D's 700 y-pipe for low elevation and the stock y-pipe for higher elevations. He also recommended the Skins Super Q can for the low altitude. If you have a bog it could be your boondocker numbers you are using. Where is your bog at? Just because you have a bog it could be a rich bog or a lean bog.

I just got off the phone with Speedwerx and they say that there are alot of their customers with other 800 big bore kits running their 925 pipe. When I mentioned that on their website the AC925S-M-2 pipe says "5000 FT + ONLY" he said that I would need the AC925S-M pipe for my M7/8 big bore for 0-5000 FT. He also said that they make a Y pipe for this set-up and this part no. is AC800Y-2. I'm confused, since Kelsey told me AC925S-M-2 pipe was the one to get.

Anybody know for sure which pipe to run at low altitude?

i'm running the 925 pipe, and a rumblepack can with my rkt 800 and so far no problems. i can't comment on a comparison with the stock pipe, as i did the bb and the pipe at the same time. but once i got my boondocker numbers right (or at least close), it really started to rip. i unload at around 2000ft and so far havn't taken it above 6000ft. its actually kinda scary on the trail cuz it accelerates much much better than before and much faster than it steers :). i havn't had any bogging at any elevation yet, but i'm gonna look into the cutler adjustable weights mentioned above, cuz i'm a few hundred rpm off of ideal.

Care to throw you BD numbers out for the fun of it? Just like to see where people are at.

I'm on the stock pipe right now, got about 18 miles on it on Saturday so I'm hoping it's considered "broken in." I'm running 895' elevation, stock 75g weights, orange/white in the primary RKT conversion in the secondary 36* with green spring. I haven't really laid into it yet for an extended period but from what I could tell on the short WOT bursts it was hitting 8000-8100. Considerably more responsive than the old stock 700, way more power. I can tell a difference already in the recent 17"+ snow we've had. The 700 would run hard but this thing really pulls and moves now. So far, couldn't be happier! I just can't wait to get it on the hill, only another month before we head out West....

I am running the 909 pipe and Y pipe with my 866 kit. Still tuning. This pipe pulls way harder then the twins did. Off bottom end this thing is quick. Still trying to dial in the top end but the few times it hit 8100 it was a handful. I ride 8500-11000. Will let you know more after tomorrow.

I got mine together 2 weeks ago with Speedwerx pipe(Kelse recommended), D&D Y pipe and skinz super Q can. I'm running the same clutch set up as you and this thing rips. I had to add some fuel to Kelseys recommendations on the bottom end.
In the3000 I went 1 2 2 0
5000 1 2 2 0
6700 1 2 2 0
7800 1 2 2 1
8100 1 2 4 1
When I added fuel on the bottom end it woke right up. I started with Kelsey's numbers of zeros straight across on the lower end and it had a bog from engagement to around 5000 sometimes. thru some fuel at her and she came to life. Wow, this thing runs. I'll probable play around with the numbers alittle more as it was pretty warm at lost lake last week. 0-3000 ft.

I didn't notice any bogs when I ran mine. Only thing I did notice was that it vibrated quite a bit more than the old 7 did. Seemed to idle a hair lower than I can remember it running last year (thought it idled ~1500 rpm or so on the BB) thought it was higher at 1800 or so on the stock motor. After initial start up it idles 1800 or so, then settles down to 1500 or so after a few minutes. Do I need to throw a little fuel at it on the low end? No bogs or anything, just seems to idle a little low.

With the stock pipe I would say no to more fuel on the bottom. Mine idles at 1700 and shakes like a whore in church. Give her a little throttle and and the shaking goes away with as little as 2200 rpms. I think this is probably normal. :D What numbers are you running? I'm using the Speedwerx pipe, skinz can and a BDX air intake so my numbers were a little higher.

I have the BD box wired up and ready to roll, but am running on the stock pipe and skinz super q can and stock intake. Running 0's across the board on the BD box. At least until I get a feel for the motor and swap out to the speedwerx M7 pipe. Then I'll have to tune a little bit. This is my first bigbore so I wanted to be a little conservative to start out with until I get a feel for how she runs.
