Aftermarket parts rarely fit right!!

Yep, it seems half the products out there do not fit correctly or need some heavy love to make work. I have sent products back more than once they fit so bad.....silencers and pipes that don't fit are the first that come to mind.
Then there are the products that fit perfectly....those are the brands I go back to, some guys do a great job with attention to detail.
I think if we make sure to praise and support those that do good work it will eventually force others to step up their game or go out of biz.

We want to know about it.!

I did say rarely,we are not flooded with calls or returns about fitment. We also have a 30 day return policy and maybe they are just returned without a call.
I myself had to cancel a yearly ride with my buds because of missing parts ,so I do understand your frustration. Believe me I reamed the sales rep..
If you buy parts from Away U Go Powersports and you have a problem with fitment or missing parts, please call or email us. This way I can address it with the sales rep. I have told my staff about this and I will get your message.

I wouldnt consider myself a huge spender but do a fair amount of aftermarket to my sleds. To me it seems the bigger the company the worse it is. I know that in the last two years i have changed from one company to another on a couple things. I think when they just get started they try harder to build that rep., then as they grow to a much larger scale things slip between the cracks. It doesnt stop with poor fitment and or quality either, i have personally run across the guys that will flat out lie through their teeth, or refuse to answer a question because it may make their product not quit what they have bragged it up to be. believe me there are still good after m companies out there, and like winterbrew said we need to be sure to let them know it.

A while back, I was brought in to help Pro Armor out. One thing that I noticed was the lack of proper jigs. That made a huge difference.

Another big problem they had was the employment of cheap illegal aliens. They were always leaving product out of the package. Whether they didn't care about the quality of their work or couldn't read the checklists, the owner would not fire them. He would rather have 10 cheap illegals than 5 quality employees that were well paid.

One time, to spite him, I sent over some new products I designed to an editor of a magazine. The stupid packager left products out and the editor was sure to mention it in the article. The owner was mad that I didn't check the package before it went out. I explained to him that the editor was just like the customers that have been getting screwed over. I thought maybe this bad publicity would help to rectify things, but he kept the same idiots employed. Quantity over quality prevailed.

Sounds like Pro Armor is off our (or at least my) vendor list. Thank You!

I think a lot of it is the disposable Walmart society that the mainstream public has embraced, few are willing to pay for quality products, they would much rather buy the garbage product ten times than buy a single quality product once for about twice what the garbage product costs.

This is the majority of the problem...
When customers enter my store I have specific brands that I recommend, based on my experience. I also show alternative choices, "with my experience"
90% of the time they will opt for the cheaper priced item regardless of the explained issues!!
They always want the cheaper one, then bitch about fitment/quality afterwards!
