Aftermarket lighting options?

I went with an after market hood on my sled, and I now need some lights. I'm looking at PIAA's, and trail teck mostly. I can't really find what I'm looking for... Here's what I want.

-$200-$250 price range
-55 watt draw each, for a total of 110 watts. Like the stock lights
-Black housing
-HID if possible

That's what I want. But my problem is, I can't get a 55 watt HID bulb. The 55 watt lights I can get, are halogen, but don't have a black housing. I can get 30 watt in black? Is that to low for the stator? Do I need more draw than that? What are people using for lights these days?

I would just get some piaas and get a helmet light, the helmet light is the best thing I have used

I want to, but that's my problem, which ones can I use? I am pretty set on the fact that I want a black housing on the lights, but I can't find a black 55 watt light. Can I use a lower wattage? I would also love a nice helmet light, but I can't spend $700-$800 bucks on lighting right now. It's either JUST PIAA's, or JUST a helmet light. (Which is a good $200 more than PIAA's woudl be)

The Black Trailtech 30w HID's (one flood, one spot) will give you much more light than the stock unit... even with an HID conversion, the beam pattern for the stock light with an HID conversion is not ideal...

IMO, Still, you need to run a capacitor with the HID's... look at the other post and you will notice that people are having trouble with getting one or the other to "Fire"...

I run trail techs on my banshee and they work good, you can get a cyclops helmet light that plugs into the sled for about $100. I have the hid with the battery pack that I haven't got to use yet but will labor day weekend

Ok thanks. That's not a HID light then right? I would go with HID and a battery pack if I did. But I'll try just the Trail teck lights here once I know that I can run them for sure, then see if I need a helmet light once winter comes around.
