For those of you who know me, I generally prefer running OEM parts. However, the stupid price Polaris has put on their fuel filters makes it very hard for some people to justify the necessary replacement intervals. Polaris recommends every replacing the fuel filter every 700 miles and/or at the beginning of every season. I replace mine every 500 miles.
I paid $118 plus tax for one last spring. C'mon Man...
Last season, SPI released an aftermarket fuel filter that is a direct fit replacement of the OE filter. There is no cutting of fuel lines, no trips to Napa, etc. I wasn't sure how many people knew about this and had a buddy call about it this morning. Many of us ran these brand of filters on the 900 without issue.
Thanks to JKinzer.
