Aftermarket Fuel Filter for 2007-2010 CFI's

For those of you who know me, I generally prefer running OEM parts. However, the stupid price Polaris has put on their fuel filters makes it very hard for some people to justify the necessary replacement intervals. Polaris recommends every replacing the fuel filter every 700 miles and/or at the beginning of every season. I replace mine every 500 miles.

I paid $118 plus tax for one last spring. C'mon Man...

Last season, SPI released an aftermarket fuel filter that is a direct fit replacement of the OE filter. There is no cutting of fuel lines, no trips to Napa, etc. I wasn't sure how many people knew about this and had a buddy call about it this morning. Many of us ran these brand of filters on the 900 without issue.

Thanks to JKinzer.

Your dealer can order these theough WPS PART NUMBER 12-1161 FITS 2008-2010 600,700,800 CFI-4 MODELS. Does NOT fit 07 600HO Carb's.

The filter can also be ordered from hiperf.com
Fuel Filter / Hose Assembly
Ref: 241200
POLARIS MODELS•Most 600, 700, 800 Models 2008-10
Polaris #2520771

Do NOT order the filter with the blue hose. That will only fit 900's.

I called a dealer today down in Utah that is close to where I work and he had the polaris one's in stock # 2520771 for $ 62.00 . I will run a polaris filter just to stay on the safe side of things.

That is an excellent price Bill and I to would stick with the OE Filter if I could buy them for this price.

Had no issues what so ever with the 900 replacements and used several on various sleds, adapted the first set to fit 800's. At that price why not change 'em frequently??

Yes, a 3/8" fuel injection line tool from your local auto parts dealer. A couple of bucks.

I have two of the SPI filters left over from our Dragon days. These work just as well as the stock filters for half the price.

PM if interested. SOLD

Just picked up a used 07 D7 RMK. What part # will work on these models?
I looked & found part# for 05-06, 08-10. But nothing for the 07.

Always the odd ball??

I went to my local auto parts supplier and told them I needed a fuel line disconnect tool, they gave me one of these:

I don't know what sizes they are, but it works good.

I have a 07' 700 RMK Dragon and the part number is 2520660. I haven't put a tool on mine but any chance that the 07' used a different part? I see the intial post cross references to polaris part #2520771.
