After the update - REVERSE

Got my sled back from the dealer a few days ago, and I must say, there is quite a difference in the sound of the reverse mechanism when you activate reverse.

There is almost no sound at all. I pressed the reverse button several dozen times over the last few days to activate reverse, and it seems to be a good fix for the issues some had.

I was in the shop when the guys were doing the update, and saw the parts they are now installing. It looks Wayyyyyy more substantial than what they replaced. Instead of the actuator only having 3 gear teeth, it has something like 7 or 8.

YOu guys should be pleased with the difference.

Proof is "in the pudding" for sure, but this seems like it should work much better.

My buddie got the reverse update done and now everytime he starts his sled it is in reverse and the dealer told him thats how it works now is that right? I would like to know because im going to pick mine up from the same dealer today.

?

That's not right. Sled should start up in forward. Even if you shut it off in reverse it should start back up in forward.

Thats what I thought I will see what they say when I pick mine up today thanks.

That dealer sounds like they F'd something up and they are too lazy to fix it. I have never seen a machine initially start in reverse, unless the reverse button was pushed :face-icon-small-win

Sounds kinda dangerous and annoying atarting in reverse. Have never heard the Cat back up horn, is it obnoxious and loud like everyone else?

The wires need to be reversed as per the instructions on the update. The reason why I know this is we had it happen after the first update we did. The tech didnt read the instructions to the end.
