Advice needed with new Axys

I bought my first new sled this week. I got a 2017 holdover 163. I am curious to what I people recommend doing to the Axys. For my 14 pro I recall people suggesting a tunnel bracing kit, turning up the oil pump, quick drive skid plate, and making sure the suspension was set up for my weight.

All that I have seen for the 17s was on post about using dielectric grease on the relay near the steering post then securing them 180 degrees from their original position.

I thank you for any and all advice. I want to make sure I take the best possible care of this sled. Currently a, Kurts clutch kit and tether are all I have on the sled, with a bumper on order, until I break it in. Going to add a pipe and can then.

Bracing? A-arms give way before tunnel does.
Oil pump? All electronic now, not adjustable
Relocating relays 90 degrees not 180 so they face downward on bottom of airbox. Super simple 2 minute mod. Videos are out there. I never had any issues with relays in stupid deep powder, but I did mine right out of the gate. Throw a mild sounding lightweight can on her. I put a guard around front heater hose as they run real close to bottom of engine and have been known to rub through. Awesome sled. Congrats! you'll never ride a Pro again. Buy this at Kurt's? Pics?

Thank you. I didn't realize the oil pumps were electronic now. I put a tunnel bracing kit on my 14. I was unsure if people were putting them on the Axys chassis now. I'll be sure to turn the relays around before I ride today. The guard sounds like a great idea. I'll figure something out for that
Yep, I got it from Kurts in Seeley Lake. All around great experience.

For a hose guard I simply took a 6" chunk of rubber hose, split it lengthwise on one side and wrapped it around said heater hose and zip tied it on. Great people at Kurt's stopped in there in February and whenever were in that area.

I think the tunnels on the 17's are plenty strong. First time I rode mine I tail landed it and broke the bumper with no tunnel damage.

I will look for that hose and relay.

The Axys can still benefit from tunnel bracing in the foot well area even though ther have the reinforcing ribs now...
Spindles have been an issues on some with hard landings....
other than the relays ( don't forget the one in the bag by the primary) The Axys have been very solid -

I am sure Kurts checked your TPS before you took ownership - they are great to deal with !!

A arms..... Either Teth air reinforcments before they bend or aftermarket after they bend. Bumpers front and back, and if your fairly aggressive I like better shocks.

Thank you, just ordered the A Arm Candy Brace kit. Seems worth the money vs having to buy much more expensive new A-arms after they are bent.

I personally don't want to have stronger a arms or reinforce the stock ones. I bent one this year. On one hand it would have been nice if it hadn't bent, but I like the fact that nothing else bent. Strengthen the a arm bend the bulkhead? I want to narrow up mine, but am going to go with the Zollinger spindles so I can maintain the stock arms. Just IMO I may be fill of sh!t!!

Check out a shock package makes night and day difference on ride quality... Narrow a arms can be really nice as well depending on ride style. If you are looking for more power a pipe can combo wakes them up big time... After that Silber is just flat nuts... Bm fab bumpers are cheap investment also and save your sled from hits the stock wouldn't take. Just my opinion have had 3 axys
