ABS recharge kit

Any one know what a abs recharge kit should cost? I just bought a kit from a Dealer in Washington and paid 171 bucks for it. Is that what they are supposed to cost. Last year I paid 50 bucks for a refill that dealer went out of Business maybe because he only charged me 50 bucks.

$40 for a refill, you give them your empty bottle and handle
$171 is price for a new bottle and handle with no exchange of your empty ones. If you gave them your empty bottle and handle and payed $171 for new bottle and handle, I'd be going back to get your money back.

Yup, any ABS dealer when you take them your empty bottle and handle, they will give you a refilled bottle and handle. The $40 charge is for refilling and shipping of your old bottle. ABS basically take customers used bottles and handles cleans them and refills them, kinda like a recycle program.

Not sure if Windsor does but Northgate and Stojans are ABS dealers. I'v had the best luck going to mountain sports shops for ABS products as lots of skiers use them. I found the prices to be cheeper as well.

Was told all ABS dealers do the refill exchange for $40

Make sure the canister you are exchanging is yellow. The silver canisters aren't worth anything because they aren't refillable.
