Donation

I sent some off to Alaska. There may be some people that do not do this very often so here is how to do it:

Go to www.PayPal.com and login or create an account
Once logged into PayPal click Send Money on the Tab at the top
Copy this, theultrarider@acsalaska.net, and then paste it into the To Box
Put in an amount
Choose: I'm sending money to family or friends, hit next
You can scroll down a little and add a subject and a note.
Then hit, Send Money, below

I do a lot of posting trying to sell my products on about 7 forums, I try and answer questions when I have time and read post also when I have time, but that does not always work out. The rest of this month I will include a link to this thread in all of my posts, in all of the forums I'm on.

New Fund

I know this is a little off topic but please read:

My son has been racing dirt bikes for about 10 years now and the motocross community has a few general funds that you can put money into that takes care of things like this. They accumulate money over time with t-shirt sales, donations and fund raisers. Then when someone is in need they look at the situation and decide what to give and to whom.

Like my last post said I'm on the forums trying to sell my stuff and sometimes I feel guilty because I really am a snowmobiler at heart that is the only reason I started selling products. I can explain latter if needed.

***So here is what I propose: I start a general fund for things like this and create a PayPal account that is tied with a bank account that people can send money or a check if needed. We could start threads across any forum we wanted asking for donations, have donation t-shirts made up, ask for donations from people like me, FirstPlaceParts, and then sell them or auction them off for the fund. First Place Parts would monitor the fund for free and have some oversight from a few other individuals such as Christopher, the forum admin. Have not talked to Christopher yet, but it could be anyone the forum decides. These people could log into the PayPal and the bank account to make sure that things are not being done that should not be. We could PM a few members with monthly screen shots also so people know things are going as they should. Sorry to say that when I read this thread I was a little cautious because I wanted to make sure that the money would get to the person that needed it. That is why it would really need to be transparent, so that people would be confident that it was being used as it should be.

If we got people onboard such as: Klim, MotorFist, HMK, FXR, BlownMotor, FirstPlaceParts, BCA, and many more I really think we could get some money into an account that could make a difference. Not tooting my own horn but I could get all of these companies on board, plus more, for either cash or products.

I hate to say it but your accident could be the start of something great. That is how the dirt bike fund raisers got started. I really do belive the snow comunity needs a general fund that could help people like you. I also really belive this could grow into something very big if given the attention it needs.

Funny side note: mi spellling checkerr quit working sooo I'm sqwred. Wo elllse realy needes thir spellling checkers. I'm a Engineer so I do not know how to spell.

Dang...thank you First Place Parts for the initiative..i pmed ya im on board..!!..there are so many Great personal Vendors on this site that have individualism to share that it just makes great sense to do something like they suggested..i look forward to the thread getting the suggestion started and a reality..!!
