sometimes its not what you do for a living but what you do without to live..!!!

less eating out , fix up the old iron instead of always having new, leaving fashion clothes to the runway models, less booze and try and quit smoking...

But other then that I do plumbing and heating...

Remember the simple things in life are plush..the wilderness is already there waiting....just be thankful you are not rich and have to work all your life 24/7 to maintain the rich lifestyle you aquire a taste for.

I don't smoke or chew. Don't drink a whole lot. Mostly beer if I do.
I do seem to like nice vehicles. 08 mega cab cummins and a 2004 Chevrolet suburban. I owe Money on both. But both have less then 80,000 miles. I plan on keeping these vehicles for a long time. Also have a 79 f250 400ci 4 speed manual that needs a carburetor and 63 pounds of bondo. My sled is pretty new with only 700 miles. It is paid off though. I buy most of my clothes at Walmart or garage sales. My wife coupons and we don't eat out but a few times a month.

Perhaps, but a Malibu 24MXZ, a Bennington pontoon (set up for fishing) and a pair of Sea Doos would nicely fit into those pictures!

interesting enough the homestead when was sold it was to two business fella's from New York and they only spent 4 months on the property and then they sold it to a family from Montana who only as well spent 4 months on site so it has now been sitting and getting delapitated from no maintenance etc and no one around for the past many years.

Its for sale for 320 thousand (5 acres) and no other titled property allowed as the surrounding area is land specific for no development with the nearest settlement 18 miles away.

Im sure if the family knew that three of the four buildings were eaten by porcupine and settled by bats and squirrels they would have to drop the price..haha..

But yep...a million bucks would do ten cabins rustic...a main lodge with solar wind support and canoes/seadoo's and winter stuff and it has super potential.

The thing that has scared the new owners is the unpredictability of the lake as the Bennet arm gets mighty rough so travel is many times delayed by boat.

My wifes family spent 24 years on this property and just dealt with the issues.

I was wondering if the homestead was still in the family. The nearest settlement 18 miles away, is it Carcross (Caribou Crossing)????

A redhead with a gun, oh have mercy! Beautiful place. When the shiot hits the fan and the world collapses, that's the type of place I want to be.

yes...just look west from Carcross beach and to the left the Bennet Arm (36 miles to the end of the arm ) to the right the West Arm (22 miles to the end of the arm) with wonderful Millhaven Bay on the way..

not to mention in the opposite direction we have the Nares lake with Windy Arm and Taku Arm then the Tagish and Marsh Lake all part of the same system (we currently live on Marsh Lake) then the Yukon River through Lake Labarge then the river out to the Bearing Sea.....so actually the whole WORLD is accessible from our waterway...

times game was scarce and travel delayed for suppiies so squirrels , dog , and many other fillers had to be eaten so it was not all roses...lol...she ate a lot of fish in her day as well...
One animal she got me to liking is Lynx , dang that cat done right is a wonderful meat..

Amazing shots and country m8magicandmystery! I definitely want to travel up through the Yukon soon! Seems like a real piece of heaven on Earth. I've worked with a couple of guys from Dawson. They seemed to have some interesting stories from living up there! There are days where I wish I could leave life and the riff raff of Alberta and move north to live a simpler and quieter life...

well hope you do look this way...if you get serious let me know and I will link you to the jobsite web pages up here...
