a few questions

i am more at home wrenching on 900's, so i have a few questions

Just got my new indy specialties motor back for the edge 800(LOOKS AWESOME< PROBABLY RUNS EVEN BETTER) Dan freakin Rocks!

anyways...
can some one explain to me(like i am completely retarded) how to align the motor correctly? it has an EPI secondary, is my team alignment tool going to work?

im having some confusion here...
align oil pump marks at wide open or idle?

those are my biggest questions, i would like to hit the snow with it for a test run tomorrow

The motor needs to be 11.5 in center to center. The old alinment tool i think is what you need for that clutch. DO NOT ALINE IT WHERE ALINMENT TOOL TUTCHES BOTH BACK SIDES OF THE DRIVEN. IT SHOULD ONLY TUTCH THE DIVEN ON THE FURTHEST POINT FROM YOUR DRIVE CLUTCH, WITH 60 TO 90 THOU OF SPACE ON THE OTHER. if you aline it dead even it will pull out of aline when riding and wear out your belt to fast. plus make it perfome like chit.
The oil pump on the big twins set at full throttle BLEED THE PUMP TOO.
