A-arms choice

Ordering parts for buddies I ended up with a full set of alternative impact titanium a-arms for a 14 rmk and a set of zbros Ars-fx arms too. I like the lightness of the titanium but also like the higher ground clearance of the fx arms. Which should I install?

I just installed the zbros both sets are 39, I like the idea of the 36 except the trail ride feedback, and where we ride some times it's 10 miles of Volkswagen sized rollers in and out. AI titanium stuff going in classifieds.

I picked up Zbroz arms last year from bostonracing. They look great and have taken everything I've thrown at them so far. I did the standard size because I already had X1's for the standard RMK width. I flirted with the shorter arms but didn't want to have the shocks rebodied.

I would switch to the ai's, I bought a new set of the zbroz last winter and they definitely ain't as strong as they used to be. The set of zbroz that I bougbt 4yrs ago were solid, the ones I got last yr are a lot softer and have already bent.

Was this part of the batch that they had issues with? Mine have been great but maybe I haven't put them to the test enough quite yet.

I thought last winter's arms were all the updated ones, not the ones with the issues? Or do I have my time frame all wrong? I thought the weak ones were 2 seasons ago.

It is my belief that the above quote is correct, (at least two maybe three, without digging up that other thread). They have made significant changes to the new style, since the first year released. I have all three versions in the garage and can vouch for the improvements. The first year of the new release the area just past the shock mount was really thin and they added an external doubler plate top and bottom to beef it up. The second year they ran the arm right to the shock eyelet. Basically tripling the metal in this area. While they likely are not as "Skukum" as the old original style, they allow more snow clearance and are way stronger than stock, but should still save the bulkhead if the errant tree were to jump out and grab your ski.

If somebody wants pic I can text them. or PM me on how to post pics.
