I just want Polaris to improve the durability of the Pro so a guy doesn't have to buy a new one every other year... Is that so wrong?
Yeah calling it junk every other word is not the way to make that happen. But using the word junk gets a rise out of you guys and that keeps the thread at the top and gets a lot of views in the middle of the summer when the forum is dead.
I'll probably move to a QuickDrive thread now!
No I don't think I will. I have the same right to post here as you.
The way I see it is I am helping here. I am keeping this thread at the top and making people think about Polaris' durability issues and the lack there of, also the lack of consistent warranty claims and denial processes.
You guys that are hating on me, on the other hand are not helping the OP in his warranty process at all.... ZERO! Unless you have some A-arms and shock for the OP? you can't help him one bit. He has done everything he can trying to get his sht replaced under warranty.
P.S.
RMS, Not a whole lot of your Poo buddies are going to agree with your thumbs down opinion! All of them but you have given me multiple thumbs downs! I've also got exactly the same amount of thumbs ups on this thread!
Does anybody else think that giving someone the "thumbsdown" is about the weakest move you can make when you dont agree???
I guess I am one of the few. Late last winter, I had an A-arm separate on me under normal riding conditions. No big hits or anything. Lucky for me, I was able to get it out of the back country with some help from friends. I took the sled into the dealer and they took care of me. They inspected the a-arm and it was plain to see there were no hit/dings/dents to it. It was also apparent that it was the glue that failed because you could feel where the black tube worked back and forth in the glue in the aluminum part. There were actual ridges in the glue from the tube moving back and forth. They submitted the claim to Polaris and I was covered under warranty. New upper and lower a-arm, new shock, new spring, and new steering tie rod.
I really think that the dealer has a lot to do with it. They can say they tried, but got denied. But in this kind of situation, it seems like some dealers aren't trying hard enough. Just how hard did you "try"???
To the OP, I feel for you, and think it is complete BS that Polaris doesn't have your back. If I had to pay to fix what happened to my sled, I would be just as upset as you.
Wouldn't be nice if the a-arm didn't fall apart in the first place and not have to leave it to the luck of the draw? Kind of crappy having to hope it doesn't go at just the wrong time then having to hope it gets covered. Not mention the down time or being stranded in some awfull place.
I was just reading in the quick drive section that mountainhorse was telling a kid that quick drive failure and soft adhesive was kind of a luck of the draw situation.
sounds like a guy has to be pretty lucky to trust one of these sleds!
Yeah, probably right about. At least you know who to kick if your sled falls apart.
I ride a 12 PRO and my riding group has 3 12's and 3 13's. Not one arm problem or QD problem with the 13's. No engine problems either with any of them.... and we average around 900 miles a season. Most of these reported problems are very suspect, if you ask me. I think these dudes who ride other brands have PRO envy, or they don't actually even ride a snowmobile!
Wow. 900 miles? Thats all? Got a short season there or something? LOL!

Seriously, WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE?
Keep riding your dinosaur and keep pretending its the best thing ever made.![]()
